Queen Mary of Denmark stunned in a gorgeous, flowing gown as she attended a gala dinner at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, Finland, along with husband King Frederik X tonight.
The Danish royal couple were hosted in the Finnish capital on Tuesday evening by the President of Finland Alexander Stubb and his Solihull-born attorney wife Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
Looking effortlessly elegant, Queen Mary, 53, was dressed in a beautiful floor-length, embroidered gown with sheer sleeves and a wide, silk waist belt. The royal’s gold belt bore a silver brooch with the Danish flag in the centre.
The mother-of-four’s dress had a black base and was decorated in floral patterns sewn in gold thread and finished with tiny pearls.
On the left side, she had attached two medals, one containing a photograph of the Danish monarch – her husband – and the other featuring a red and gold cross.
The Australian-born Danish queen wore a royal blue sash, which is often associated with the Order of the Elephant, a prominent Danish order of chivalry.
She carried a miniature clutch bag in the same shade of blue with a diamante fastening.
Mary accessorised her striking ensemble with a gold tiara set with jewels of different colours and a pair of ornate gold earrings encrusted with what appeared to be rubies.

She wore her chestnut brown hair brushed back in an elegant chignon and kept her make-up fairly simple, adding a smoky eye, blusher and a pale pink lipstick.
King Frederik X, meanwhile, looked dapper in white tie attire, featuring a black tuxedo, a white dress shirt and waistcoat, and a white bowtie.
The Danish King, 56, wore a row of medals on the left side of his jacket and had a bejewelled gold chain draped over his shoulders.
The Finnish first lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb, 55, looked equally glamorous in a floor-length, asymmetric gown in green.
Her husband, President Alexander Stubb, 56, matched Kin Frederik in white tie along with a pale blue sash.
Stood in an opulent room of the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, the four smiled for photographs.
They were also pictured welcoming the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-aho and his wife Hilla Halla-aho, who wore an elegant, black gown with exposed shoulders and a sweetheart neckline.
Other guests included actress Sara-Marie Soulie, who made a statement in a strapless bronze gown, and husband Olli Soulie.

The Danish head coach of the Finnish national football team, Jacob Friis, and wife Merle Fris, were also in attendance.
Once seated at a long dinner table adorned with pink and white flowers, President Stubb stood up to officially welcome his royal guests with a speech that amused King Frederik who stifled his laughter with his hand.
Later, it was Frederik’s turn to address the guests at the gala dinner, with the king donning a pair of black spectacles for the occasion.
The Danish royal couple arrived in Finland early today for their state visit.
May and Frederik were received by President Stubb and wife Suzanne at an official reception held at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki this morning.
Despite rainy conditions, Mary looked chic in a weather-appropriate ensemble, which included a chic navy blue coat, a thick plum blouse and blue pointed suede boots.
She also donned a plum-coloured hat and matching clutch bag, while her coat featured a striking plum jewelled broach.
For the occasion she opted for subtle make-up, wearing only the slightest touch of blush, black eyeliner, mascara and a matte pink lip.

Her brunette locks were coiffed to perfection and styled in loose waves which fell elegantly down her back.
She kept her jewellery pared back, opting only for a pair of micro crystalised studs.
The Queen and Finland’s first lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb stood side by side and appeared to be in high spirits as they engaged in conversation.
The powerful women were pictured embracing for a kiss on the cheek, while in another it appeared Suzanne gifted the royal with a stunning bouquet of flowers which she received warmly.
Various pictures captured the pair smiling happily and often bursting into friendly laughter.
The 55-year-old attorney also came prepared for the weather, opting for a stylish beige overcoat and what appeared to be a cream floor length gown.
Her accessories such as a pair of cream leather gloves and a matching hat were pointedly similar to that of her royal guest.
However her choice of gold coloured-studs, bangle and necklace made for a much bolder statement.

King Frederik of Denmark and Finland’s President were the heroes of the day, saving their wives from the disastrous wet weather by holding up umbrellas for them during the event.
Their down-to-earth husbands each held towering black umbrellas over their heads, providing the women much needed shelter from the rain.
The high powered men were pictured in high spirits and were seen waving to the gathering crowd and cameras.
Frederik looked typically suave in a navy blue coat and trousers, a crisp sky blue shirt and an orange tie.
Meanwhile the Finnish president impressed in a long wool black coat, a sharp white shirt and a grey pattern tie.
Both men completed their looks with a pair of black leather gloves. It appears comfort was the order of the day as all four figures donned winter coats for the occasion.
