Justin Timberlake is making changes to his flailing career in a much-needed bid to win back fans after canceling his world tour dates.

Justin believes he needs to switch his focus from solo artist and reunite with his Y2K-era boy band NSYNC to keep his career alive and repair his ‘golden boy’ image following his DWAI in Sag Harbor in 2024.

During the arrest, Justin, 44, predicted in a viral moment: ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The Cry Me a River singer then embarked on the Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which was riddled with issues, including an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction and low ticket sales.

At the same time, Justin was dealing with the fallout from his ex Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman In Me, which detailed explosive allegations about their relationship.

On February 27, the former boy band star canceled the final show of his U.S. tour at Columbus, Ohio’s Nationwide Arena just 12 minutes before the concert and claimed he was sick, leaving ticket holders fuming.

He also faced major criticism for performing too many new songs instead of his fan favorites. The SexyBack singer was slammed for playing 11 songs from his most recent album, Everything I Thought It Was, which was a critical failure.

The Friends With Benefits actor was said to be embarrassed when he asked fans to sing along with the album’s single – and quickly realized they didn’t know the lyrics.

A source close to Justin’s camp told DailyMail.com that he ‘understands why people are upset with him for cancelling some of his shows or disappointed in his concerts for not having enough of his old music.’

Now, Justin is apparently desperate to keep his disgruntled fans happy, especially since there’s an upcoming Britney biopic that will no doubt dredge up his controversial past with the Pop Princess.

The pair dated from 1999 until 2002, and in her memoir, Britney claimed he cheated on her and that she had an abortion at 19 because he ‘wasn’t ready’ to be a father. After the revelations, Britney praised Justin’s new music on social media and apologized for ‘some of the things’ she wrote. While he did not respond to the allegations, he hinted at how he felt during a concert, telling fans he was ‘apologizing to absolutely nobody.’

While Justin is now more than ready to please his fans, he’s still sticking to his guns when it comes to his set list. Despite the tour being slammed as ‘meh’ and ‘forgettable’ by critics, the Social Network actor refuses to apologize for playing new tunes.

‘He made a decision on what his tour was going to be all about, and he stuck with it,’ the source said.

‘He loves his recent album and loves performing it.’

However, the response to the album ‘made him realize what needs to be next, and that’s an NSYNC reunion.’

The reunion news comes as NSYNC’s biggest rivals from the early aughts, the Backstreet Boys, announced a massive takeover of the Las Vegas Sphere this summer, including multiple sold out tour dates.

The dad-of-two, who’s married to Jessica Biel, is going to ‘monitor’ their shows ‘because when NSYNC comes back, there is a big decision on whether or not they should tour or have a residency,’ the source confirmed.

NSYNC fans are desperate for a reunion and embraced the songs Justin did with his former bandmates for the Trolls soundtrack.

Following the completion of this tour – which has remaining dates in Argentina, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and more – the Rock Your Body hitmaker is going to spend time with his family, consider doing a film, and then potentially ‘reunite with his boys.’

JC Chasez, 48, Joey Fatone, 48, Chris Kirkpatrick, 53, and Lance Bass, 45, made up NSYNC alongside Justin.

Lance previously told DailyMail.com that he ‘hopes’ to reunite with his bandmates after nearly 30 years and that his ‘fingers [are] crossed.’

It looks like Justin now feels the same way, with the insider claiming he knows a reunion will ‘get him back on track and in the good graces with fans that he may have lost.’

‘It will reinvigorate his career, and he is ready for a reset,’ the source said.
