An attractive £350,000 home remains unsold months after going up for grabs – with would-be buyers noting an eye-catching feature.

The grandiose-looking two-bedroom house in North Yorkshire has been shared on the market by Rightmove.

Plush carpeted rooms inside and a sprawling garden outdoors are among the attractions of a place marketed as ‘stunning’, ‘packed with character and charm’.

The entry which has been online now since last October also describes the residence as ‘well-presented throughout’.

Yet online viewers have been struck by an array of stuffed animals dotting about the property.

A range of creatures are on display, including deer, foxes and birds – while there are also cats on the floors and furniture and a monkey perched on a sofa.

The apartment also houses a large collection of pictures and ornaments, some contained in glass cabinets – giving it the look of a museum.

The Rightmove description reads: ‘This stunning, two bedroom plus occasion bedroom/study apartment, is packed with character and charm and offers deceptively spacious living throughout, located in an attractive period building.’

The listing might not yet have prompted a sale but has attracted reactions online.

One browser wrote on X, formerly Twitter: ‘I get that taxidermy is a legit thing, but if you’re wanting to sell, please hide your 1000 dead cats, dogs, foxes, monkeys and god knows what else.’

The apartment in the Holbeck Hill area of the North Yorkshire town is listed for £350,000 and has been available since October last year.

The description on the property agent’s website goes on to tell prospective clients how the home has ‘the added benefit of a private GARDEN and GARAGE’.

Rightmove adds: ‘The apartment is well located on Scarborough’s South Cliff just off the Esplanade with open aspect and Sea views towards the Esplanade.’

MailOnline has contacted Rightmove for comment.

Previous online listings which have similarly raised eyebrows include a two-bedroom home put up for sale in Liverpool.

That one featured a room housing an impressive collection of Tasmanian Devil soft toys, from Warner Bros’ Looney Toons cartoons.

The cuddly items even spilled into the living room, with the soft toys piling on on a shelf next to jars filled with marbles – while a 50cm-high spider model was nailed to the wall.

Some internet users joked that they would only put in an bid for the house if the selling price included all the Tasmanian Devil merchandise.

Meanwhile, an otherwise unassuming-seeming three-bedroom house in St Albans, Hertfordshire, went on the market for £575,000 – only for one room to leave people appearing shocked.

Hidden in between standard snaps of a bedroom and bathroom was a room overwhelmed by penguins.

Shelves were seen filled with model penguins, while the room also featured penguin-themed crockery, pictures on the walls and a drape over the curtains.

On TikTok, the page @housinghorrors reacted by saying: ‘Oh my god, I have never seen so many penguins in my entire life. This is just so niche.

‘Imagine going round your mate’s house for dinner, going into the spare room for a nap, and you see that!

‘Imagine sleeping in that room and all those eyes just staring at you, I don’t know if I could do it.’

Elsewhere, a three-bedroom semi-detached home in Rhyl in Wales – valued at £179,000 – displayed bold Disney-themed murals across its interior walls.

It included a princess-pink bedroom, an Aladdin-themed living area and an emerald green space resembling Maleficent’s lair while also containing a Snow White mirror.

The Disney-devoted property also featured further cartoons, with a living room wall showing scenes from Aladdin and murals of characters Jasmine, the Genie and Rajah.

Estate agents Elwy Estates said in their online listing: ‘We’ve just waved our magic wand and *Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo* we’ve found your happily ever after!’
