Sophie Winkleman has revealed she and the family miss her sister-in-law’s husband, Thomas Kingston, ‘every day’.
Mr Kingston, 45, was found dead at his family’s country mansion with a post mortem concluding he passed away from a ‘traumatic head wound’ in March 2024.
A gun was also found near his body at the Cotswolds property. The death of Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband was found not to be suspicious.
His father found him on forcing entry to a locked building after Mr Kingston had earlier visited for lunch with his parents, Gloucestershire Coroners Court heard.
In a statement, his widow, Lady Windsor described him as an ‘exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him.
Ms Winkleman, 45, who is married to the brother of Lady Windsor, Lord Frederick, has since divulged the impact his death has had on the family.
‘That was a big tragedy in our lives and we all miss him every day. My girls adored him,’ the actress who portrayed Big Suze in Peep Show told The Sunday Times.
‘It’s brutal. We’re still in touch with all his family and it feels like he’s still with us.’

While speaking of her husband’s work with charity, James’ Place’ was not a ‘positive’ to come out of the situation, it has made them ‘more aware’.
She added: ‘It makes you so much more aware that the exterior of someone can be very different from what’s going on inside.’
Meanwhile, an inquest into Mr Kingston’s death heard he had stopped taking medication in the days leading up to his death.
She also said: ‘The fact that he took his life at the home of his beloved parents suggests the decision was the result of a sudden impulse.’
The coroner Katy Skerrett concluded Kingston took his own life, adding: ‘He was suffering adverse effects of medication he had recently been prescribed.’
The inquest was told Mr Kingston had initially been given sertraline, a drug used to treat anxiety and depression, and zopiclone, a sleeping tablet, by a GP at the Royal Mews Surgery, a practice at Buckingham Palace used by royal household staff, after complaining about finding it difficult to sleep.
Lady Gabriella warned the inquest, held last December, about the side effects of drugs used to treat mental health problems.
