It’s the most glamorous night in the society calendar – and this year’s Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris will be no different.
The event, which returns to the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris later this month, will see Spanish royalty and Hollywood nepo babies take to the dance floor.
Invitations to the exclusive ball are hard to come by, but there will be fierce competition to be this year’s diamond of the season – with a sea of custom ball gowns looking like something out of Bridgerton.
There is Eulalia de Orleans-Borbón, for example, the 19-year-old goddaughter of the former Spanish King, and Lady Araminta Spencer Churchill, the daughter of the Duke of Marlborough.
Carolina Lansing, meanwhile, is the granddaughter of fashion royalty, Carolina Herrera – bringing status and fashion prowess to the event.
Talent, too, will be on display in abundance. Eulalia speaks six languages, while billionaire heiress Sarah Bae plans to study history and philosophy after concluding her studies at her £56,382-per-year school.
The prestigious event was first held at the Palace of Versailles in 1958. Today, it is billed as the high-society debut for 19 young ladies handpicked from some of the most important families in the world.
Here, we reveal this year’s essential ‘who’s who’ guide for the glamorous ladies set to make their debut at the extravaganza.
Eulalia de Orleans-Borbón
Eulalia is the daughter of businessman Álvaro de Orleans-Borbón and the goddaughter of King Juan Carlos
Eulalia is the daughter of businessman Álvaro de Orleans-Borbón and the goddaughter of King Juan Carlos, her father’s distant cousin.
The 19-year-old beauty has set her sights high, describing herself on LinkedIn as having a ‘strong interest in trading, markets, and investment strategy’ as she studies financial economics at the royal-loved University of St Andrews.
Her interests also appear to include fashion and art, passions she regularly shares with her some 13,000 followers on Instagram.
Eulalia is also multilingual, speaking six languages, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German.
The stylish debutante will make her debut in a number by Lebanese designer Tony Ward and is expected to make a lasting impression.
Bronwyn Vance

Brownyn Vance, the daughter of Hollywood legends Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance, already has an impressive career ahead of her at just 19.
A Harvard student (studying film) who splits her time between the East Coast and LA, the young starlet documents her glossy life, filled with travels, red carpet family outings and on-campus shenanigans on Instagram.
According to Tatler, she is also part of a Black art collective and works for her university’s radio station.
Bronwyn is also a talented musician, according to Angela, who said she insisted that her children play instruments from a young age.
And she’s not just a pretty face – the star has also put time into important causes, having raised money for the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society in 2022, raising more than $60,000 in cash for the charity.
For the highly anticipated event, Bronwyn will be wearing a piece from designer Stephane Rolland.
Stephane gushed on Instagram: ‘Thank you for choosing me the loveliest debutante ❤️ in love with Bronwyn and her family.’
Ruby Kemper
Ruby Kemper’s older sister Tess (pictured together, Ruby is left) has previously attended Le Bal
Unlike many of her peers, Ruby Kemper will have the advantage of walking into the ball knowing exactly what to expect.
In 2016, her older sister, Tess, who is a close friend of Sofia Richie, had the pleasure of attending the prestigious event and will no doubt offer her sage advice on making an impression.
Ruby will have had to travel far for the event since she is currently studying hotel management at Cornell University in New York.
She also has an impressive heritage and is the granddaughter of Kirk Kerkorian, the former owner of MGM Studios, now owned by Amazon.
When she attends, she will do so as the date of Gabriel Gledhill, a handsome British skier and model who was previously on the cover of Tatler.
Though she will be anything but upstaged by her dashing date. Ruby will be wearing a stunning design by the Hollywood brand, Chrome Hearts.
Lady Araminta Spencer Churchill
Lady Araminta Spencer Churchill, 18, will likely be the centre of attention at the upcoming ball
It will be all eyes on Lady Araminta Spencer Churchill, the daughter of the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his second wife, Edla Griffiths, the Duchess of Marlborough.
In addition to royal ties by way of her great-aunt Lady Rosemary Spencer-Churchill, who was a maid-of-honour at Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953, the debutante has already made a name for herself.
The 18-year-old is an accomplished equestrian, with her love and dedication to the sport seeing her represent Great Britain in various tournaments all over the world.
No stranger to grit, she currently balances Olympic ambitions with her studies, during her studies at Oxford Brookes University.
And if her recent Tatler cover feature wasn’t proof enough of her staying power – and impeccable style – then perhaps her hotly anticipated presence at Le Bal will.
Carolina Lansing
Carolina (pictured left), 21, is the daughter of Patricia Cristina Lansing and is currently studying communications at a university in the US
As the granddaughter of fashion royalty – whose tailored gems have been worn by Michelle Obama and Melania Trump – it’s only right that Carolina makes her grand debut to society at such a magnificent event.
Carolina, 21, is the daughter of Patricia Cristina Lansing and is currently studying communications at a university in the US, reports Hello!
She also told the publication about her excitement to ‘pay homage’ to her stylish grandmother by opting to wear a design constructed by the brand’s creative director Wes Brown.
For the grand ball, the junior Carolina will wear a black-and-white and polka-dot gown as a nod to ‘classic’ Carolina Herrera designs.
Speaking of her debut, she added: ‘I’m proud to be a part of something so historical and meaningful, which showcases the elegance and excellence of women worldwide.’
Ella Wadia
Ella Wadia is a well-known name in her home country of Pakistan.
After all, it was her great-great-grandfather, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who founded the country in the first place.
Her father, Jehangir Wadia, is another prominent figure in the country, serving as the executive of Wadia Group, a conglomerate involved in shipbuilding, textiles, food, and airlines.
Meanwhile, Ella’s mother, Celina, is the head of the fashion brand, C Femme.
Ella will make her official debut wearing a gorgeous gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab.
Eliza Lindroth
Eliza Lindroth was raised in the Bahamas and is currently studying art history and anthropology at the American University of Paris.
Her intelligence is hardly a surprise given her lineage. Eliza counts Swedish inventor Martin Wiberg, who is credited with creating the first compact machine capable of printing logarithmic tables, as her ancestor.
When she leaves behind libraries for luxury later this month, Eliza will wear a sweeping gown by the designer, Rick Owens.
She will be joined by Antonius Meijer, a scion of the French family that owns the Château Giscours vineyard.
Luckily, he’ll know what to expect as last year he attended alongside his sister, Olivia.
Sarah Bae
Sarah Bae, 17, pictured with her Andover Korean Society co-chair William Oh
The daughter of billionaire Joseph Bae, who is the co-CEO of global investment firm KKR and former ELLE editor Janice Lee, Sarah Bae is making history as Le Bal’s first Korean American debutante.
Sarah is a student at Phillips Academy Andover, a prestigious boarding school in Massachusetts, costing US$73,780 (approximately £56,382) per year to attend. She is planning to study history and philosophy at university.
She may be just 17 years old, but Sarah is already an active member of society, given her roles as a UNICEF board member and president of the Andover Korean Society at Phillips Academy, which hosts events to encourage students of Korean heritage to come together and be part of the community.
According to Tatler, Sarah is also a sports enthusiast and is track captain at her school.
This year, she finished in first place in her home meet’s 100-metre hurdles event and second place in the 300-metre hurdles event.
Sarah has chosen to wear a gown by Oscar de la Renta for the big event, but told Tatler she is worried about her heels not being high enough, as she only measures 5’4′.
‘But I am also not that good at walking in high heels!’ she added.
Alexandra Moxey
Alexandra Moxey has clearly been inspired by her father Patrick Moxey’s musical background and writes for her university’s music publication while studying at the University of Chicago
Cross-cultural influences from her mother’s Filipino background and her father’s American roots inform just about everything Alexandra Moxey does.
She is studying Latin American History and Law at the University of Chicago, a private research university that ranks in the top 10 national universities in the US.
Her father, Patrick Moxey, also plays a major role in her creative pursuits. Patrick was a former executive at Virgin Records and is the founder of independent publishing company Ultra International Music Publishing, which represents more than 70,000 copyrights – including the works of Ed Sheeran, Drake, Rihanna, and Madonna.
However, Patrick was forced to change the name of his company to Payday Music Publishing following a trademark dispute with Sony Music Entertainment.
Nevertheless, his love for music has clearly rubbed off on Alexandra, who also writes for her university’s music publication, Firebird Magazine – recently reviewing Beyonce’s show in Soldier Field, Chicago, this summer – as well as taking on the role of presenter on student radio.
Isabelle von Perfall
Singer and pianist Isabelle von Perfall (pictured) is the daughter of Baron Alexander von Perfall and will be attending La Bal with her siblings
Singer and pianist Isabelle von Perfall isn’t the only von Perfall who will be attending Le Bal this year.
In fact, all three of the von Perfall siblings – the children of Baron Alexander von Perfall, who is descended from Bavarian nobility – will be in attendance at the highly anticipated event, and Isabelle will be joined by her brother Felix while their other brother Nicholas escorts Araminta Spencer-Churchill.
Isabelle likely gets her ear for music from her mother, Ashley Pierce, a director of marketing at classical music label RCA Red Seal, and has recorded a number of original songs.
When she’s not making music, she studies social anthropology and art history at St Andrews University.
She will wear a gown by Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier – whose bridal designs have been worn by the rich and famous, including Britney Spears, Reese Witherspoon and Carrie Underwood.
Jillian Chan
Jillian Chan (pictured left) belongs to east Asian film royalty as the daughter of acclaimed Chinese-Thai director Peter Chan, (pictured right)
Jillian Chan belongs to east Asian film royalty as the daughter of acclaimed Chinese-Thai director Peter Chan, one of the most prominent directors in Chinese cinema, and Hong Kong actress, film director and producer Sandra Ng.
But that’s not where her film heritage ends – her paternal grandfather, Chan Tung Man, was a writer-director and a columnist, while her maternal grandfather was Kenneth Ng Kam Tsun, a renowned actor in Hong Kong.
Jillian is clearly inspired by her parents and grandparents and has chosen to pursue a degree in acting at the University of Southern California, according to Tatler.
She appeared in a bank advertisement alongside her mother in 2023, and walked the red carpet at the Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony with her father that same year.
She will attend Le Bal in a gown by Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika, with Greek bachelor Nikolas Manos by her side.
Alice Wang
Alice Wang is the daughter of Stella Li, the CEO of BYD Americas and Chuanfu Wang
Alice Wang is the daughter of Stella Li, the CEO of BYD Americas and Chuanfu Wang, founder of Chinese manufacturing behemoth BYD – the company behind the world’s top electric-car company.
Aside from her anticipated arrival at Le Bal des Debutantes this year, she’s busy with a psychology degree at Columbia University, where she contributes to the institution’s faculty hip hop group as well as environmental projects, reports Tatler.
Her designer of choice at this year’s Le Bal will be the exceptionally talented Vera Wang, while for company she will be paired with fellow debutant Baron Heinrich von Frankenstein.
Princess Isabelle de Orleans
Princess Isabelle, pictured, will be travelling back to her home country from London, where she is studying business administration at ESCP London
The great-granddaughter of Henri d’Orleans, Isabelle is the youngest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Chartres, a branch of the Bourbons of France and former royal dynasty.
Princess Isabelle will be travelling back to her home country from London, where she is studying business administration at ESCP London, when she attends La Bal later this month.
She will be wearing a gown by Italian designer Antonio Grimaldi, and will be escorted by her relative, Constantin d’Orleans, who also acted as Peyton Spaht’s cavalier last year.
Like some of her fellow guests, Princess Isabelle will have the luxury of hearing first-hand what La Bal is like, as her sister, Hélène, previously attended.
Her sister’s debutante debut clearly paid off, too.
Much to the delight of their parents, Hélène got engaged to Francisco Sottomayor Quinta, a pilot with the Portuguese airline TAP, earlier this year.
Reagan Sacks
Reagan Sacks is the daughter of David Sacks, chairman of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, who is known to have been acquainted with Elon Musk and Peter Thiel.
But that isn’t her only connection to society’s upper echelons.
Raegan’s mother, Jacqueline Sacks, is the founder of the wellness brand Saint Haven and is a member of the board of directors of the California Pacific Medical Centre.
Meanwhile, her high-flying father was the COO and product leader at PayPal, as well as an angel investor in major companies including Facebook, Uber, SpaceX, and Airbnb.
Raegan is set to leave hearts racing at Le Bal, where she will arrive wearing Schiaparelli haute couture and be joined by Jason Schwarz, a pharma heir.
Gabrielle Janssens de Balkany
Gabriella Luise Maria Janssens is the first child of Marie Elisabeth Zellinger de Balkany and businessman Oliver Janssens.
Along with her aristocratic heritage, she also boasts an impressive royal lineage, counting Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy, Maria José of Italy and King Umberto II as her grandparents.
Born in Thailand, the 21-year-old spent much of her early life between England, Switzerland and Spain, where she now prominently resides while studying events planning.
She is the elder sister of three brothers, Paul-Louis, Victor and Tomasso, the latter her esteemed company for Le Bal, where she is expected to impress in a gown by Italian designer Luisa Beccaria.
Almudena Dailly de Orleans
Each Le Bal is bound to have connections to royalty abroad, with Almudena Dailly de Orleans one of the two goddaughters of Spain’s King Juan Carlos to be in attendance.
The young socialite, 21, is a marketing student with a very impressive background; her parents are Pierre-Louis Dailly and Princess Adelaide of Orleans, whose wedding was attended by the European monarch and his wife Letizia in 2002.
She lives in Madrid, but will be bringing a distinctly Parisian flair to Le Bal in a Christian Dior gown.
Eugénie of Hohenzollern
Eugénie is the daughter of Prince Albert and Princess Natalia of Hohenzollern, a former royal German dynasty whose members included Princes, electors, Kings and Emperors.
She will no doubt be among some of the best-dressed beauties gracing Shangri-La Hotel later this month, as Eugénie is embarking on a career in fashion and is currently studying at Marangoni Institute in Paris.
When she steps out at the ball, she will be seen dressed in a gown by Belgian designer Édouard Vermeulen and will be accompanied by Count Ascanio di Carpegna Brivio.
Her date is a dashing young Italian count who last year attended the same event alongside Oona Finch, granddaughter of the Australian actor Peter Finch.
Josephine Haas
Josephine Haas has many things working in her favour. Not only is she a beautiful brunette with doe eyes and a perfect cupid’s bow, but she is a bright spark, too.
Currently enrolled at IE University in Madrid, Josephine is also the product of two highly impressive parents: Sébastiaen Haas, a lawyer specialising in film law, and Claire-Sophie, the marketing and communications director for Rexel, a major French firm.
For her ensemble, Josephine will wear a frock chosen by Chinese designer Guo Pei, the fashion mastermind behind Rihanna’s egg-yellow gown at the 2015 Met Gala.
Stepping out in what will no doubt be a mesmerising look, she will be joined by the handsome Italian, Count Brando Leonardo Borletti Dell’Acqua.
Eirini Zarifi
Eirini is a Greek heiress born to parents Anna-Krystyna, whose family made a name through a shipping business, and George Leon Zarifi, who descends from a prominent banking family originally from Constantinople.
Much like her fellow debutants, Eirini takes education very seriously and is currently studying at Royal Holloway University in London, an institution renowned for its art, humanities and social sciences.
On her arm for this year’s Le Bal will be Gabriel de Kergorlay of France, who was seen attending Le Bal last year alongside Apollonie Halard, the daughter of landscape designer Miranda Brooks and architect Bastien Halard.
Eirini is expected to wear a look by British designer Deborah Milner, the former head of the Alexander McQueen couture studio, known for her focus on ecologically aware designs.
