Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his wife Nicola have been seen together as they enjoy a relaxing break at Prince Harry and Meghan’s favourite hotel.

The couple, who are at the centre of a rift with Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria Beckham, were seen strolling in the grounds of the historic San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.

The luxury hotel, which has bungalow rooms priced from £2,245 to £9,069 a night, has been previously used by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a venue to give tell-all interviews.

The fact that social media chef Brooklyn, 26, and actress Nicola, 31, are staying there once again illustrates parallels between the two couples who have both fallen out with relatives.

The hotel which once hosted Winston Churchill on a writer’s retreat, as well as John F. and Jackie Kennedy, is just a few minutes drive from Harry and Meghan’s home at Montecito.

Guests at the hideout in the heart of California’s wine country have also included a host of Hollywood stars including Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Harry, 41, famously used the grounds of the hotel as a backdrop for his bombshell CNN interview with Anderson Cooper before the release of his book Spare in January 2023.

Meghan, 44, was also interviewed by Variety and posed for a photoshoot for the magazine at the hotel in October 2022 when she spoke of how she shared a ‘warmth’ with the late Queen.

The presence of Brooklyn and Nicola at the ranch will inevitably lead to speculation about major similarities between him and Harry who is all but estranged from the Royal Family.

Both were raised with incredible privilege, went on to marry strong-minded actresses in Meghan Markle and Nicola Peltz, and quit the UK to live in California.

They have now also both very publicly bemoaned the ‘control’ and restrictions of growing up in their respective families.

Brooklyn’s stay at the hotel comes just days after his long-running family feud exploded in spectacular fashion when he took to Instagram to reveal a series of stunning allegations about his parents and ‘the truth’ behind their glossy brand.

His visit to the spot used by Harry to promote his ghostwritten memoir has also fuelled suggestions that the England football legend’s son is considering writing his own book.

Sources have revealed that Brooklyn now has a deal ‘firmly in play’ to write a book in the style of Harry’s Spare, revealing the difficulties of growing up as part of the Beckham brand and his fall out with his celebrity parents.

He is said to have noted how Spare sold more than 3.2million copies worldwide and became the fastest selling non-fiction book in the UK since records began.

A source said: ‘He’s seen how well the book did for Harry… Same publisher. Same idea of finally telling your truth. That’s not a coincidence.’

Harry and Meghan were once close to David and Victoria Beckham before reportedly falling out over claims that the former England star and his wife were leaking stories about the royal pair.

It was reported in May last year that Harry and Meghan had hosted Brooklyn and Nicola at an intimate dinner at their home in Montecito.

People magazine quoted an insider as saying that the couple were invited along with several other VIPs and film executives.

The source added: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.’

It is not known if Brooklyn and Nicola who live in Los Angeles are combining their stay at historic San Ysidro Ranch with a meet-up with Harry and Meghan.

They were seen walking in the garden with Brooklyn wearing a baseball cap and a dark top holding what appears to be a glass of sparkling wine, while Nicola was in a white top and sunglasses draping a hand over his shoulder.

Brooklyn was also seen walking alone in a beige cardigan with a Nike baseball cap.

Their stay at the hotel was revealed after Brooklyn’s fashion designer mother Victoria, 51, stepped out in Paris where she was named as a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.

She posted 17 pictures on Instagram post including cameos from former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, alongside the rest of her family showing their support.

Victoria posed alongside her husband, David Beckham, their daughter Harper, 14, and sons Cruz, 20, and Romeo, 23. Also featured in photos were her sons’ respective girlfriends, Jackie Apostel and Kim Turnbull.

The San Ysidro Ranch has a fascinating history and was originally home to Franciscan monks in the 19th century before becoming a hotel in the 1930s.

It is filled with antiques and Persian rugs, and features patio seating leading onto the lush green garden which boasts olive and lavender trees.

Each of its 38 bungalows are equipped with fireplaces, private patios, outdoor rain showers and extras such as heated bathroom floors while most have four poster beds. Prince Harry’s interview took place in the Churchill Cottage

The most lavish accommodation is the resort’s Warner Cottage, which includes a sunken spa and soaking tubs.

Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, there are 17 miles of hiking trails nearby.

The hotel’s Stonehouse restaurant also lures the famous to its tables in droves, with Oprah Winfrey said to be a fan.

Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh were married at the hotel in 1940 and John Huston wrote The African Queen in one of the cottages during a three-month stay.

Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow married in the Willow Suite in 2003, while Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder spent the first night after their wedding there.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger also married actor Chris Pratt at the hotel in 2019, while actress Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen tied the knot there in May last year.

Other celebrity guests have included Kanye West and wife Bianca Censori.

Meghan’s article in Variety described the San Ysidro Ranch as a ‘low-key old luxury resort with simple bungalows tucked into a mountainside overlooking the Pacific coast.’

The article which featured Meghan posing beside lush Sicilian lemon trees also described the hotel as ‘unpretentious but protected place’, despite largely being occupied by mega-wealthy guests.
