A collection of 2,900 artifacts will take you through millennia of history, with eight separate halls, each dedicated to a particular era in history. 

Don’t miss the Arab Kingdoms gallery, detailing the region’s ancient civilizations and taking you from the 4th millennium BCE to the 4th Century CE, and the Man and Universe gallery, exploring the origins of the universe and humanity’s place within it.

King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran

Known for its dazzling futuristic architecture and vibrant cultural programs, this museum is a breathtaking showcase for the country’s modern-day artistic pursuits. 

Located in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, the building itself is designed as a collection of vast stones, symbolizing unity and representing the past, present and future. 

Ithra means ‘enrichment’ in Arabic, and the spaces inside include a 1,500 m2 conference hall, a 900-seat performing arts theatre, a five-gallery museum and a state-of-the-art cinema.

Al Tayebat, Jeddah

Set in the heart of Jeddah, on the Red Sea coast, this sprawling, multi-floored museum features a vast collection of valuable artifacts, antique relics, historic manuscripts and Islamic art. 

Built in the style of traditional Western region architecture, to wander the Al Tayebat museum’s expansive spaces is to take a step back in time and truly immerse yourself in the abundant history of Saudi Arabia.
