A hilarious video captured the moment a failed burglar was locked in a van while attempting to steal landscaping equipment.
Dean Young, 26, allegedly attempted to raid the landscaper’s truck on Wednesday, but became trapped inside the vehicle.
Doorbell surveillance video showed the moment Young dashed to the vehicle from his parked car, clad in neon green.
Once the would-be thief climbed into the van, the landscaper unknowingly locked Young inside, causing him to panic.
‘Help me, help me!’ The brazen man wailed. He is heard screaming, ‘I’m inside!’ while punching and kicking the vehicle.
The landscaper, still holding his tools, is seen hesitantly approaching the truck to assess the ruckus, while putting his foot on the ramp outside of the trunk.
Another worker walked over toward the commotion, and Young is heard shouting, ‘I can’t breathe.’
Hialeah resident Nercy Toledo’s Ring camera caught the debacle unfold, and spoke to WSVN about the incident.

But his alleged plans miserably failed after he became locked inside the van, and he is heard screaming for help
‘[Young’s] car pulls up in the middle of the street, [he] gets into the truck, tries to steal his truck, but unfortunately the gentleman got locked in,’ she told the outlet.
‘The owner of the truck went to lock his vehicle, but that lock locks all the doors, even in the back. So, what happened is he locked him in,’ Toledo said.
As the 26-year-old thrashed for freedom, the no-nonsense landscaper kept him locked up until the police arrived.
‘The Hialeah Police Department was really happy ‘cause this is incredible. This is the best arrest they’ve ever made, they told me,’ Toledo told the outlet.
The footage also showed the landscapers watching officers as they escorted the failed burglar to their cop car.
‘It’s kind of scary because, you know, I live here and the door can be left open and anyone can just walk in,’ the witness said.
‘It’s a big avenue, it’s very dangerous, so we have to keep our doors locked more often.’
The 26-year-old is facing burglary and criminal mischief charges, according to records obtained by Daily Mail. He is currently in jail.

Young was free on bail in a previous burglary case, where he allegedly stole a lawn edger and weed-whacker, per WSVN.
The alleged per initially told police that he was chased by a dog while he was giving out his business cards, NBC Miami reported.
He added that he feared for his life, and bolted into the landscaper van for safety, but the video showed a different situation.
‘I think it’s funny. It’s a dumb crook, I guess now he’s watching the news and inside the jail,’ Toledo told the outlet.
