As Netflix prepares to flag off a new season of Drive to Survive, F1 fans can expect a healthy dose of behind-the-scenes drama. 

The show, currently in its eighth season, will also introduce a new crop of wives and girlfriends as they cheer their beaus on. 

Which begs the question: will the undisputed queen of reality TV also reign over Drive to Survive after it was reported that Kim Kardashian has found love with Lewis Hamilton?

Neither Kim, 44, nor Lewis, 41, has commented on their rumoured affair, with the Ferrari champ declining to comment on his relationship status earlier this month. 

Whether their romance will stand the test of time or not, Kim and Lewis have been friends for many years. 

In 2014, they were pictured with their partners at the time, Kanye ‘Ye’ West and Nicole Scherzinger, at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.

In 2015, West invited Lewis to spend Easter with their family, with the rapper saying at the time: ‘Lewis Hamilton’s over at my house and we’re playing some music in my studio.’ 

The race car driver later joined Kardashian and her family in the VIP section when Kim’s ex-husband headlined Glastonbury that year. 

The F1 champion has also been close friends with Kim’s sister, Kendall Jenner, for years, while her mother, Kris Jenner, has been seen cheering him on at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Kim and Lewis were also seen at the 2021 Wall Street Journal’s innovator awards, gushing: ‘It’s such an honour to be recognised amongst a group of such remarkable talent.’

According to the outlet, 28-year-old Carmen has previously worked in finance – as an investor relations associate at Ruffer LLP in London – but announced that she was going back to studying in December 2023. 

The Mercedes driver’s very glamorous girlfriend – who is originally from Spain and moved to the UK aged 18 – has a business degree from the University of Westminster.

Carmen has more than 773,000 followers on Instagram and often shares snaps of her luxury travels and enviable style online.

The 27-year-old first crossed paths with Carmen when the Spaniard had been set to meet a friend of his for a date in 2020.

‘My mate couldn’t make it, so I thought I’ll swing along to see how it goes,’ Russell told The Sun.

‘She told me she’s from the south of Spain and she wouldn’t ever expect someone to know the small place she’s from.

When the pair celebrated five years together last February, Mundt detailed her pride in her partner in a post on social media.

‘So I watched the whole entire season in one day. I know, as bizarre as this might sound, it got me really motivated in golf instantly.’

After getting more curious about F1, Lily started following Alex on Instagram and ‘really didn’t think that much of it’.

However, unbeknownst to her, Alex was also getting into golf at the same time – and so followed her.

‘I guess that’s how we technically met,’ she explained. ‘We started talking on the phone. We were both rookies in 2019 and I thought that was extremely cool.

‘Eventually, he had an event in the States and afterwards, he and his friend took a little break in LA and that’s how we properly met for the first time.’
