Simon Danczuk has been reunited with his Rwandan wife after she was finally granted a visa to live in the UK.
The former Labour MP, 56, and new wife Claudine Uwamahoro were emotionally reunited at Heathrow last Sunday, the first time they have seen each other since their wedding in July.
After a long visa battle, the beauty therapist, 28, has been accepted into the Home Office’s settlement scheme and is now allowed to live and work in the UK for three years.
She previously revealed the couple planned to have a baby if she was accepted into the scheme.
Talking about their new lives, Mr Danczuk said: ‘We now look forward to living between Rwanda and the UK. I love spending time in Kigali, especially with Claudine and her family, though we will also be in London and Rochdale to see my children as much as possible.’

The Mail revealed last month that Ms Uwamahoro was denied a visitor’s visa a year ago by the Home Office because officials, ‘did not believe they were in a relationship’.
But the couple appeared to be in the throes of marital bliss as they were pictured kissing and hugging in Heathrow Airport.
They have not seen each other since Mr Danczuk was forced to return to the UK days after their traditional Rwandan wedding in the capital of Kigali.
One source close to the couple told the Mail: ‘Both of them were heartbroken. If there is a time you want to be together as husband and wife the most, it’s straight after your wedding.’
‘Claudine applied [for a visa] last year after she and Simon got engaged and she was devastated when it was turned down.
‘Apparently, the officials didn’t even believe that she and Simon were together.
‘Lots of evidence was provided for them, there were photographs handed over and even records showing that they chatted several times each day.
‘Simon had also been going out there to see Claudine every two months but even that didn’t seem to be enough.’

The wedding took place almost 18 months after the pair first met each other while Mr Danczuk was on a business trip
Ms Uwamahoro met Mr Danczuk when he was on a business trip to Rwanda almost 18 months ago.
It is his third marriage having previously wed Sonia Rossington, the mother to his eldest children George, 25, and 20-year-old Mary, but that ended after ten years amid accusations that he ‘bullied’ her into sex – which he has always vehemently denied.
He then married Karen Burke, named the ‘selfie queen’ for posting pictures of her cleavage online.
They split in 2015 after three years following reports that he had had sex with a 22-year-old woman in his constituency office.
