They became international sensations after earning the Guinness World Record as the world’s shortest married couple – and now, they are taking people inside their home.

Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Lie Hoshino have invited TLC cameras inside their unique, specially customized home in Itapeva in São Paulo, Brazil.

The couple, who both have dwarfism, are appearing on TLC’s new show Most Extreme Humans, which features people with extremely rare conditions.

Others spotlighted include a Filipino man whose hands grew 20 times larger than average and a 50-year-old man with a backward spine. 

Now, the Brazilian couple is revealing the renovations that helped transform their house into a home and turned chores into something they can do entirely on their own.

Standing at a combined height of 71.42 inches, Paulo, 40, and Hoshino, 36, have adapted almost every room to fit their needs.

The changes include lower door handles and light switches, custom countertops and accessible storage.

‘Now comes the coolest part of the kitchen: the sink,’ Barros said during the episode. He explained that it had been specifically designed to give him easier access while doing the dishes.

They have also included lightweight plastic step stools to help them reach high shelves, a lower laundry sink and custom office furniture.  

Hoshino described the house as her ‘safe haven,’ and explained, ‘When we left our home, we had to adjust to the world to fit in.

‘In our house, especially in the kitchen and bathroom, it was the opposite. It was the people who had to adapt to us,’ she explained. 

Their love story has captivated people around the world for more than a decade, since they first met online.
