Harry Potter star Nick Frost has secretly welcomed a fourth child with his partner Hayley.

The 54-year-old, who will play Hagrid in HBO’s new television adaptation of JK Rowling’s books, confirmed this week the couple have a six-month-old baby.

Speaking on the Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast, Nick also hinted he and Hayley have quietly married, repeatedly referring to her as his ‘wife’.

He said: ‘My f***ing kids keep me young. I’ve got a six-month-old, one’s four, one’s eight, and I’ve got a big, big boy who’s 15.

‘And, it’s like, it’s interesting that I can still… I don’t feel old at all in terms of being able to whiz these kids about.’

Nick shares his eldest son Mac with his first wife, TV executive Christina Lesbirel, and the younger three with Hayley. He did not reveal the name or sex of the baby.

Hayley and Nick have never been pictured together and her surname is unknown.

Explaining why they chose to have another child, he said: ‘I’m 54 and as I was saying to Hayley, if we’re going to do this… you know, I don’t want to be like f***ing Pacino or Mick Jagger. I don’t want to be that kind of dad.’

Rolling Stones frontman Mick was 73 when his partner Melanie Hamrick gave birth to their son Deveraux in 2016, making him a father for the eighth time.

And Hollywood star Al Pacino was 83 when he welcomed his fourth child Roman with film producer Noor Alfallah in 2023.

Nick, who shot to fame in Shaun of the Dead alongside Simon Pegg, went on to describe his home life with Hayley, whose surname has not been disclosed publicly.

‘I’m happy being here with Hayley and my four kids,’ he said. ‘We put the kids to bed, and me and Hayley get into bed at 8pm and we have a cup of tea and we watch some kind of s***.

‘We watch My 600lb Life. And that’s it. That’s my life. And I f***ing love it.’

Nick and his first wife Christina, whom he married in 2008, had a son in 2011 before separating in 2013 and divorcing two years later.

He announced the arrival of his third child – his second with Hayley – in August 2021 by sharing a photo of himself on Instagram leaving hospital carrying the newborn in a car seat.

‘And then there were 3!!!! (Kids that is!)’ he captioned the post at the time.

On the podcast, Nick referred to Hayley as his wife on several occasions, suggesting the couple have since married without publicly announcing the news.

Nick said this week: 'I've got a six-month-old, one's four, one's eight, and I've got a big, big boy who's 15' (seen announcing the birth of his third child in 2021)

Talking about the difference between himself at work and at home, he said: ‘Much to my wife’s annoyance – and I’m sure my first wife’s – I’m a better person when I’m on a set than when I’m at home.’

Nick and Hayley’s latest family addition comes as he prepares for one of the biggest roles of his career after being cast as Hogwarts gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid in HBO’s Harry Potter series.

He will take over the role made famous by Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid throughout all eight Harry Potter films before his death in 2022.

The new series is due to premiere on Christmas Day, with its first season based on the first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Nick said the filming schedule has allowed him to continue being heavily involved in everyday family life despite now having four kids.

He said: ‘It’s a really nice schedule if you have lots of children because there’s a lot of time when I’m taking the kids to school and picking them up.

‘We’re going to Scouts, we’re going to football. It’s really conducive to have a family within.’
