Hundreds of playful pooches made a big splash in a Clyde seaside town yesterday.
More than 200 dogs and their owners had one day to take a dip together in the heated public pool in Gourock, Renfrewshire, before it shut for the winter.
Among those going for a doggy paddle were Cathy Murray and her playful pup Guinness.
She said: ‘He quite enjoys the swim – and this is great for me because the water’s warm.’

Facilities manager Mark McFarlane started the Doggy Dip sessions in 2019.
He said: ‘All the sessions have sold out, and we’ve had a great time.
‘It’s certainly grown in size – initially, we had one swim at the end of the season, but we’ve now expanded.
‘Over the course of the day, we’re expecting to see about 240 people and 240 dogs.’
Mr McFarlane added: ‘There are a few dogs that get quite nervous when they go in for the first time – but once they’re in, they really enjoy it.’
