She was recently out of action after being hit on the head by a horse at her Gatcombe Park estate.

But when Princess Anne got back to royal duties last month, there was little sign of the injuries she received.

The Princess Royal, 73, has been following Great Britain in the Olympics and visited the Team GB house on the fifth day of the sporting competition on July 31.

She wore a rather supportive white and blue Adidas bucket hat for the occasion that can be purchased from high street stores including JD Sports for £23.

It was just the latest example of how Anne has rocked headwear down the decades.

Anne, who has a well-earned reputation for re-using clothes and accessories, often complements her outfits with statement hats.

In May, she greeted ex-service men and women at a Buckingham Palace garden party wearing a classy cream ensemble, topped with a wide-brimmed hat.

This wasn’t the first time the Princess Royal had donned the brown and beige feathered piece however, she was seen in 2006 with the same coat and hat combination at Royal Ascot.

Below, as Anne continues her return to royal duties, we show the times she has looked her best in hats.
