The All New Mickey Mouse Club aired on American television as a reboot to the original version of the show between 1989 and 1994.
The Disney Channel show launched the careers of some current day stars including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling.
The 30-minute episodes featured comedy sketches, music videos, parodies, star guests and a whole host of youngsters desperate for their moment in the limelight.
These teens were known as the Mousketeers and they would sing versions of hit songs for a studio audience or at the Disney World resort
The original version, The Mickey Mouse Club, entertained viewers between 1955 and 1959, before being revived briefly between between 1977 and 1979.
However it didn’t appear to have quite the same impact as the most recent reboot, which sent some of its young cast into stratospheric stardom.
Some have even achieved global success, with many making recent headlines, including Britney Spears following the release of her new memoir.
In the autobiography, Britney, 41, revealed she had an abortion while dating her ex- Mickey Mouse co-star Justin, because he ‘wasn’t ready to be a dad’.
So as the platform that launched the club – Disney – turns 100 this year, we take a look at what has happened to the Mousketeers since.

Britney Spears
One of the first to reach the dizzy heights of international stardom after the Mickey Mouse Club was cancelled, Britney Spears burst onto the scene as a pig-tailed schoolgirl in her record-breaking Hit Me Baby One More Time in 1998.
Her album went platinum, and nine studio albums and countless Grammy nominations later Britney is by far the most successful MMC export.
In the early noughties she delighted fans by striking up a relationship with her MMC co-star Justin Timberlake, but the pair split after three years (she is thought to be the inspiration behind his song Cry Me A River).
During their relationship, Britney recently revealed in her memoir, The Woman In Me, that she fell aged 19 pregnant with Justin’s baby and admitted that if it were here decision alone she would have kept the unborn child.
The couple split in 2002 and Britney went on to marry her childhood friend Jason Alexander and then Kevin Federline, who she shares her two children, Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James.
After achieving worldwide success, Britney’s time in the spotlight took a harrowing turn when she suffered a public meltdown in 2007.
It culminated in her taking a razor to her hair, and being committed to a psychiatric ward in Los Angeles.
After the incident, the pop superstar was placed under a conservatorship by a judge in 2008 and her father, Jamie Spears, was initially a co-conservator, with the attorney Andrew Wallet serving alongside him until 2019.
Britney remained under the conservatorship with no autonomy over her finances and massive wealth and very little control over her own body for most of her adult life until she attempted to publicly fight back in June of 2021.
Amid a surge in interest thanks to the Free Britney movement, which campaigned on social media and via public protests for the end of her conservatorship, the songstress shared her own feelings about the conservatorship with a statement she read during a court hearing addressing the future of the arrangement.
After admitting that she hadn’t attended a court hearing in years because she feared she wouldn’t be heard, Britney shared disturbing allegations about the conservatorships control over her body and romantic relationships.
She said that she wanted to marry her then-boyfriend — and now estranged husband — Sam Asghari, but the conservatorship wouldn’t allow her to get married.
But the mother-of-two also hoped to have another baby with Sam, but she said an IUD she had at the time prevented her from doing so.
In an excerpt from her memoir The Woman In Me that she felt like a ‘child-robot’.
After it was lifted, Britney was able to marry her boyfriend Sam Asghari in 2022, however he filed for divorce earlier this year after six years together.

Justin Timberlake
Justin appeared on the show between 1993 and 1994.
The demise of the Mickey Mouse Club did little to slow down Justin’s meteoric rise to fame, which started with chart-topping boy band NSYNC. They would go on to be one of the best selling boy bands of all time.
Justin joined the band with his Mickey Mouse Club co-star JC Chasez.
NSYNC performed at the Academy Awards, Super Bowl and even the Olympics, cementing their status as international heartthrobs before parting ways in 2002.
Arguably due to the boost his high-profile relationship with Britney gave him, Justin garnered enough popularity to break away from the boyband and go solo.
Justin, now 42, enjoyed unprecedented success after going solo, with his first two albums alone selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.
During his career he has released several critically acclaimed albums, including Justified, FutureSex/LoveSounds and The 20/20 Experience.
After his success in the music bizz, Justin branched out into acting, where he also thrived, appearing in hits such as The Social Network and Friends With Benefits.
Following his acrimonious split with childhood sweetheart Britney he dated Cameron Diaz before marrying actress Jessica Biel in a lavish Italian ceremony in 2012. The couple share two children, sons Silas, eight, and Phineas, two.
Intriguingly, he is also believed to have a somewhat rocky relationship with fellow Mouseketeer Ryan Gosling, despite the pair briefly living together during filming, with Timberlake telling the Hollywood Reporter: ‘We aren’t the closest of friends.’

Christina Aguilera
After hanging up her mouse ears in 1996 following a year-long stint, Christina, now 42, recorded the theme tune for Disney movie Mulan which helped propel her to fame with her self-titled debut album the following year.
For the live-action remake of Mulan in 2020, Christina released the new song Loyal Brave True and a re-recording of Reflection.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, with help from her hit singles Genie in a Bottle and What a Girl Wants.
Carving out a decidedly raunchier brand of pop than her contemporaries, she raised eyebrows with racy performances in music videos for songs like Can’t Hold Us Down and Dirty – the latter of which has become an iconic fancy dress costume.
She released two more albums before achieving critical acclaim once again with her fourth record, Stripped, which includes singles Dirrty, Beautiful, Fighter, Can’t Hold Us Down and The Voice Within.
Her next release, Back to Basics, featured anthems Ain’t No Other Man and Candyman.
In 2007, she was announced by Forbes as one of the richest women in entertainment with a net worth of $60 million (£46 million) – now estimated as more than two times that amount.
With seven studio albums under her belt and five Grammy awards, she has since enjoyed a judging stint on The Voice.
Like her co-star Justin she has also enjoyed her time on the big screen, appearing in musical film Burlesque.
She started dating Jordan Bratman in 2003, and they were married in 2005. Their divorce was finalized in 2011. They have a son together.
As for her private life, Christina married Jordan Bratman after two years of dating in 2005 and they were married for six years until 2011.
The couple share a son, Max Liron, who is now 14.
After breaking it off with Jordan, Christina got engaged to Matthew Rutler in February 2014, and their daughter Summer Rain was born in August 2014.

Ryan Gosling
Ryan, now 42, appeared on The Mickey Mouse Club reboot from 1993 to 1995.
Unlike his MMC contemporaries, Ryan went down the acting route and booked jobs on You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps and the 2001 film The Believer.
He came to international attention some eight years after his stint on the variety show with his performance in 2004 tearjerker The Notebook co-starring with Rachel McAdams, who he dated in real life between 2005 and 2007.
Ryan also dated Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock for two years from 2001.
Now Ryan is a bona fide heartthrob with a string of Oscar nominations under his belt – not to mention a Golden Globe for Best Actor in La La Land.
This summer, Ryan left fans swooning – and laughing – again with his portrayal as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which has made more than $1billion at the box office.
Oscar’s buzz has surrounded the actor ever since for his role and solo performance of the catchy track, I’m Just Ken.
The actor is believed to have amassed a personal fortune of around $30 million (£232 million) since his MMC days.
Ryan is now happily married to actress Eva Mendes and the couple have two children together. Their daughters Esmeralda and Amada were born in 2014 and 2016.

Dale Godboldo
One of the lesser-known stars to emerge from the MMC, Dale switched music for acting and starred in a string of films TV shows throughout the early noughties, the biggest of which is perhaps a minor role in 2011 Marvel blockbuster Thor.
More recently he starred as lawyer Carl E. Douglas in the FX drama The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
But it’s clear he still looks back fondly on his time in the Mickey Mouse Club, recently telling Talk Nerdy how the show helped launch his career.
He said: ‘What I learned on that show was, not only the mentorship I received from my time on that show, but the training in the arts, training in entrepreneurship… it was an extraordinary experience that I’ve taken with me to this day.’
Away from acting, Dale is a devoted humanitarian, who is ‘passionate about mentorship and the arts, and an advocate for youth arts and education, diversity and inclusion, and the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goal.’
In 2015, he was the recipient of the Los Angeles Urban League’s Young Professionals Award.

JC Chasez
After the MMC’s 1990s revival came to an end, Chasez – five years older than some of his co-stars – was recruited by Justin to be one fifth of NSYNC.
When the band took a hiatus in 2002 he released his own album, Schizophrenic, but never matched the commercial success of his former bandmate – despite him once claiming that Chasez had ‘the best voice of all of us’.
These days the 47-year-old works as a songwriter and producer and describes himself as a ‘really quiet dude’.
Speaking about his experience on the show, JC previously said: ‘For us, every day was the best day of your life. Look, anytime that you get to do what you like to do is a good day. Anytime I’m in the studio it’s a good day.
‘Anytime I’m on stage it’s a good day. They are good days. But, as a 14-year-old, you all of a sudden go from living in suburban Maryland in the outskirts of D.C. to living in the backyard of a theme park.’
It was recently reported that JC has been working on a pair of musicals, a potential concept album for one of them and a secret project he can’t discuss yet.
Earlier this year, he also collaborated with Meow Mix for a new advert promoting wet cat food, where he joins forces with the Tabby 5, a boyband of five cats.
He told People: ‘A million people can say, ‘Hey, we got this idea and it’s a boy band.’ And you’re like, ‘Yes, I’ve heard that before.
‘Yes, I’ve heard that before.’ But when they go, ‘Listen, we have a boy band made of cats and the cats are going to be dancing.! I was like, !Yeah, yeah, let’s do that!’ he laughs.’

Keri Russell
Like JC Chasez, Keri was older than most of her 12-year-old co-stars during her time on the show’s series four to six.
And similarly to Britney and Justin, Keri and her co-star Tony Lucca also dated after meeting on the show, albeit in a far more low-key fashion.
At 17, frizzy-haired Keri already had her driving license when she was belting out kiddie classics and has since joked that she was the ‘coolest’ member of the 1990s cohort.
After embarking on an acting career, she bagged a Golden Globe for her role in WB Network series Felicity and has also starred in Scrubs, Into The West and Arrested Development.
She went on to star in The Americans – she is in a relationship with co-star Matthew Rhys – and the 47-year-old says she still bumps into Justin from time to time.
Most recently, Keri received an Emmy nomination for her role of Kate Wyler, a U.S. ambassador in Netflix’s The Diplomat.
After her eight season stint on the MMC, Keri previously joked she was happy to come away with ‘my sanity [and] my dignity’, potentially referencing Britney’s turbulent life since the Clubhouse.
Reflecting on her time with W magazine, she said: ‘ Not everyone got out alive. Some of those people are still my best friends—Ilana [Miller] and Lindsey [Alley]. I was there at a time when there were a lot of famous kids there.’
Keri, who was in the company of superstars such as Britney, Justin and Ryan, said that being surrounded by them made her question her own talent.
She said: ‘I say this completely truthfully: I was literally the least talented one there. I’m not kidding. When I look at those kids, I’m like, why in the world did they pick me? It was wild.’

Tony Lucca
Tony, 47, may not have enjoyed the same level of fame as his MMC co-stars but he has nevertheless carved out a successful career as a singer-songwriter, touring with the likes of Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson and *NSYNC alonside Timberlake and Chasez.
After a short-lived acting career he threw himself into music, and the father-of-one was second runner up in the 2012 series of NBC’s The Voice.
He was reunited with his fellow Mouseketeer, Christina Aguilera, who was one of the judges on that season of the American version of the show.
During the appearance, Christina told him: ‘Britney [Spears] used to have the biggest crush on you!’, however despite their historic links, Tony picked Adam Levine’s team.
Tony Lucca had a brief stint on Emerald Cove and Malibu Shores, but he generally stayed away from the spotlight.
After dating Keri for eight years, Tony married his wife Rachel in 2007 and the couple when on to have two children, Liam and Sparrow.

Nikki DeLoach
After a short-lived relationship with co-star JC Chasez, Nikki – nicknamed Peaches by fellow cast members – joined girl group Innosense, managed by Justin’s mother.
She later said of her relationship with Chasez: ‘We both did things that were not honest after our break up & once trust is broken, it is hard to get it back.’
When Innosense went their separate ways, she embarked on an acting career with stints in Emerald Cove, North Shore and Windfall.
She is now married to fellow singer Ryan Goodell, she has a 10-year-old son, William.
Reflecting on her time in MMC, she told Complex: ‘I looked up to everyone, including the kids younger than me. How can you hear Christina Aguilera sing and not be in awe and be inspired by that?
‘I knew I had my own thing going on, meaning, I was never going to have a voice like Christina. There were things I knew that were not me.’
