Britney Spears’ former home in one of the wealthiest enclaves in Los Angeles has gone up for sale for just under $8 million.
The ‘Baby One More Time’ singer bought the stunning Beverly Hills mansion in 2007 shortly after she divorced her second husband, Kevin Federline.
In May 2012, Spears sold the six-bedroom, seven-bath home for $2.1 million, FOX Business reported.
The recently-renovated property is going for $7,999,995 and includes murals from renowned painter Maria Trimbell, a sound-proof screening room/music studio and a saltwater pool with a jacuzzi.
All of these amenities and more can be found at this nearly 7,500-square-foot home, which is situated in a gated community at the end of a cul-de-sac.
‘Recently reimagined inside and out, this secluded retreat atop Mulholland Drive offers unparalleled tranquility,’ wrote listing agent Ben Salem of Compass, adding that there is 24-hour security.
In 2021, Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman Real Estate said the property was ‘virtually paparazzi-proof’ after selling it for $6.1 million to the current owner.
‘It has gates within a gated community, just to show how important privacy was to Britney Spears. There is no angle or anything that can be seen from any other house or hill, nothing whatsoever,’ Altman told People Magazine.

The gorgeous mansion has previously been described as ‘virtually paparazzi-proof,’ owing to its thick shrubbery, gates and 24-hour security

Its incredible privacy could make it a natural choice for another celebrity with deep pockets.
Salem hyped up the home’s ‘soaring double-height ceilings’ and ‘expansive open floor plan that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces, creating an entertainer’s paradise.’
A large crystal chandelier is the focal point of the home and can be seen from the first floor foyer and from the second-floor balcony.
According to the listing, there are five ‘oversized’ bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and walk-in closets, plus a sixth bedroom with a private entrance, perfect for guests or staff.
The kitchen, complete with an island and a separate counter for dining, has warming drawers, a wine fridge and a built-in barbecue area.
The pool area is fitted with a non-slip designer tile patio and luxurious Baja shelf, optimal for sun tanning all year round.
There are six other large mansions on the cul-de-sac, all of them boasting private tennis courts, putting greens and pools.
Spears’ former home has been listed for 27 days. The median home in Los Angeles spends about 52 days on the market, according to Realtor.com, meaning the 2001-built property could get snapped up in the next three weeks or so.

Spears now has another home in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood, which is west of downtown Los Angeles. She bought the beautiful Italian-style villa in 2015 for $7.4 million.
She had to flee the home in early January when California authorities designated her area as a wildfire evacuation zone.
Spears said she spent ‘four hours’ on the road driving to a hotel, though she didn’t clarify if she was swept up in traffic with other evacuating residents.
She was among many celebrities who had to abandon their Los Angeles mansions or lost them altogether to the horrific blazes that burned for weeks.
Mel Gibson’s $14.5 million home in Malibu burned to the ground while he was off in Austin, Texas, filming an episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Paris Hilton too lost her $8.4 million beachfront home in Malibu, though it was not her main residence.
