Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford appeared in very different moods on Wednesday as they carried out their work commitments amid their divorce.
News of the couple’s split was shared on Saturday afternoon but it later emerged that Eamonn was ‘blindsided’ by the fact their news would be made public and was left ‘angry and baffled’ by the decision.
He looked sombre as he was spotted leaving the GB News studios in London, failing to raise a smile as he sat in the back seat of his car with dark sunglasses on.
In contrast, Ruth didn’t appear to have a care in the world as she snapped selfies at the QVC studios, where she co-presents a fashion show.
She proudly showed off her outfit in one snap before posing in an elevator for a ‘liftie’.

Earlier in the day, the mother-of-one had also enjoyed a pampering session, getting her highlights touched up at Leo Bancroft Salon in Weybridge.
Ruth’s snaps come after friends of Eamonn’s said he was ‘angry and baffled’ at her decision to share the news.
He learned of her plan just hours before the statement was released via Ruth’s spokesman on Saturday afternoon, saying: ‘Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.’
The announcement was described as a ‘joint statement’.
A friend of Eamonn’s told the Mail: ‘Eamonn was left blindsided, it was awful for him.
‘He literally found out about it a very short time before it was published – you’re talking hours.
‘It all seems a little bizarre given that the statement said they were hoping to keep it amicable.
‘Eamonn wanted no part of it, he couldn’t see any reason why you would release that statement.
‘It was wholly written and signed off by Ruth and her team. In the end he had no power over it whatsoever.’
The Mail also revealed that Eamonn had been confiding how ‘very bad’ things have been with his wife in recent weeks, while his colleagues at GB News said they have been concerned for him of late.
They said that he had been ‘down’ but put it down to him being in pain.

One of his colleagues said: ‘Eamonn used to be the bolshy star of daytime television, he was a confident and noisy member of the team.
‘But he was clearly struggling recently – his marriage disintegrating as well as being in so much pain from his fall a couple of years ago was making him increasingly grumpy.’
The Northern Irish television anchor addressed the split publicly for the first time Wednesday morning on his GB News breakfast show, while still wearing his wedding ring on his left finger.
Alongside his co-host Isabel Webster, the broadcaster said: ‘Just before we move on we’d just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation.
‘Your support for both of us is very much appreciated.
After the split emerged it was revealed that Eamonn has followed a number Instagram profiles featuring scantily clad women.
Using his official Instagram account, the news anchor followed the pages of a number of women who regularly post photos of themselves in lingerie.
One page called Your Office Obsession has snaps of one woman wearing tiny mini skirts and revealing tops with plunging necklines in a work setting.
The biography reads: ‘Shhh… Don’t tell HR I’m on here,’ and a link to an associated OnlyFans page is included.
Another page which goes by the username of stockingsandheelz has OnlyFans model Sharon Janney wearing sexy stockings and underwear.
The bio reads: ‘The page you don’t want your wife to find out about, unless she is featured on it.’

Elsewhere, Eamonn follows an Italian model called Marta Ragusa who has a picture of herself displaying her peachy behind while wearing a black thong and sheer stockings pinned to the top of the page.
She posts pictures with captions that include ‘self love’, ‘feeling sexy’ and ‘lingerie lovers’.
It is not known whether Eamonn started following the accounts before or after his split from Ruth.
Eamonn used his presenting slot on GB News’s breakfast programme to break his silence over his divorce from wife Ruth on Monday – and appeared with his wedding ring still on his finger.
He is reported to have been against announcing the split, which ‘devastated’ him, sources say.
Eamonn had posted on Instagram about the FA Cup over the weekend following the issuing of the statement – but his comments on GB News’ breakfast programme on Tuesday are his first words issued publicly on the split since.
The stalwart presenter had been expected to make a statement on his separation from Ruth on Monday’s GB News.
But presenters Nana Akua and Michael Portillo stepped in – with today’s broadcast being Eamonn’s first since the split was announced.
Eamonn and Ruth said in Saturday’s statement they were ‘determined to stay friends’ after spending most of their professional lives together.
However, sources say Ruth ‘orchestrated’ the statement, which Eamonn refused to sign off on prior to its release.
Eamonn reportedly told friends that he ‘didn’t want to get involved’ and that ‘Ruth can do what she wants but keep me out of it’.
He, meanwhile, shared his own weekend Instagram post as he relished in Manchester United’s shock FA Cup final win over Manchester City, sharing an illustration of himself with Sir Alex Ferguson.
The caption said: ‘My God, what a Cup Final, what a result! European football next season too. The Magic of The Cup. Congratulations to the whole squad.’
Eamonn, who is a trustee of the Manchester United Foundation, saw his post flooded with comments from concerned fans, asking him about his split.

Former couple Eamonn and Ruth are said to have been living ‘separate lives’ for up to two years and are now having ‘difficult conversations’ over who will keep Maggie, and are said to be trying to avoid bringing in lawyers over the situation like Ant McPartlin and his ex Lisa Armstrong.
A source told The Sun: ‘Maggie is like a daughter to them. They dote on her. But she’s getting on and they know she needs stability.
‘It’s a case of who can give her that. Eamonn adores her and Maggie’s been such a support during his health woes. The thought of giving her up is heartbreaking to him.
‘But if Ruth is able to get out and about and walk her more, then it may well be that she gets Maggie in the split.
‘They are adamant this won’t come to what Ant and Lisa went through and they won’t be getting lawyers involved.’
The pair had been living together until recently at their £3.2 million home in Weybridge, Surrey.
Ruth took their dog for a walk on Sunday and spent time with her mother Joan.
She said on Instagram: ‘Enjoying the little bit of sunshine we got today.’

Insiders claimed on Sunday that the pair have been living separate lives for two years, with their relationship deteriorating after they left This Morning in 2021.
Eamonn has had a tough two years, losing the ITV show, as well as battling health conditions and grieving the death of his mother. The presenter is said to have been keen to move home to Belfast, but Ruth was adamant they stay put at their Surrey home.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Eamonn and Ruth’s relationship changed when they left This Morning. They started moving in different directions in their careers and their priorities started to change. Eamonn was desperate to return to Belfast, which he thinks of as home, but Ruth would never move. It became a bone of contention.
‘As her ITV career continued, Eamonn went down another path and they became ships in the night. For the past two years they had led separate lives, professionally and personally.’
