This is the hilarious moment a father-of-two crashes into bushes after climbing on top of a bin.

Matt Gentle, 40, tried to change the batteries on two security cameras outside of his home.

However, what should have been a simple task led to him crashing into bushes instead.

His slip-up was caught on a Ring doorbell camera which captured a video of him toppling from the top of a bin earlier this month.

The footage shows Matt, from Croydon in south London, pulling a wheelie bin from the end of his drive and placing it by a bush.

He then attempts to clamber on top of the blue bin and uses a nearby lamppost to help him balance.

The father-of-two swiftly loses his bearings and the bin tips from under him – all while he continues to cling onto the pole.

He lands in the bush and the bin falls onto its side – as Matt gets up, the lid opens up and rubbish spills out onto the grass.

Matt, a car sprayer, said his wife and children have been enjoying the footage and added: ‘It was hilarious – I climbed onto the bin that can’t take my weight.

‘I would have laughed so hard if I’d seen that.

‘I’m too heavy to be standing on stuff like that – but you never learn. I do things like that all the time.

‘The kids love the video. My boy watches it all the time.’
