They are currently enjoying a lavish getaway in Ibiza with friends and family.

And Alex Scott and Jess Glynne were spotted canoodling with one another on board a luxury yacht on Saturday. 

The former Lioness, 39, who is now a successful sports pundit for the BBC, was reportedly ‘overlooked for the Olympics coverage’, but appeared to put the slight to one side, as she looked happy and relaxed cuddled up to Jess, 34.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they lay on a beach towel with their arms draped round each other and soaked up the sun on the deck of the yacht.

Singer Jess opted for a black and green printed skirt, meanwhile, Alex opted for a bikini and held a glass of fizz in her hand.

The pair have been romantically linked since October 2023, after reports emerged they had been dating for months prior.

A source at the time said: ‘Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon.’ 

The getaway comes after Alex has been absent from presenting the Olympic games.

Instead, the likes of Gabby Logan and Clare Balding have been fronting the coverage for the BBC. 

Just three years ago, Alex faced criticism on social media for her accent during her appearance on the BBC’s Olympics coverage.

The ex-England star came under fire from Lord Digby Jones, a former Government minister, who suggested she needed ‘elocution lessons’ because she speaks with a London accent.

In a series of tweets, the crossbench peer in the House of Lords, said: ‘Enough! I can’t stand it anymore!

‘Alex Scott spoils a good presentational job on the BBC Olympics Team with her very noticeable inability to pronounce her ‘g’s at the end of a word.

But Alex, who was awarded an MBE in 2017 and accrued 140 caps for England, shrugged off the attack and said negative tweets only spur her on.

The former footballer and her singer girlfriend made their public debut as a couple in March at the BRIT Awards by posing on the carpet together.

Alex explained how they wanted to protect themselves for as long as possible, she said: ‘It took us a while because we knew what we have is so special, so it has been about trying to protect that and keep that for us in such a way that it continues to be beautiful.’

She recalled a sweet early memory when they met for the first time and Alex admitted she didn’t know how to act which caused Jess to jokily say ‘Are you not going to put your arms around me?’.

Alex shared that the awkward encounter is still something they laugh about now.
