As a human race, we’re all susceptible to making mistakes – but although our blunders can cause us embarrassment, they might at least give others a good chuckle.

People from around the world have shared the hilarious fails they’ve spotted in a thread, and BoredPanda.com collated some of the best examples.

In one instance, a road maintenance sign urged people to drive safely, but someone  mistakenly spelt drive as ‘derive’, causing laughter among travellers.

In a different instance, a maintenance worker appeared to have a bad day after crookedly painting the yellow lines on a road, causing equal amounts of confusion and laughter.

Elsewhere, another worker made a comical mistake after putting all the buttons on an elevator pointing downwards.

Meanwhile, a medal design caused a stir online after somebody won a third-place bronze trophy that read ‘3st’, not third.
