- The place in Neasden, north-west London, would cost around £700 a month
- A pillow is thrown in to sweeten the deal
London renters can finally grab a bargain on Airbnb with a place available for just £23 a night – but those interested must be willing to sleep on a mattress on the floor.
The room has been listed online as a ‘spacious and serene space’ with a bathroom, kitchen and WiFi.
But in reality, the new tenant will be sleeping in a room crammed with three double mattresses on which they and their two new housemates will spend the night.
Judging by the pictures, a pillow is normally thrown in to sweeten the deal.
The peculiar pad is also only open to men and if a spare mattress cannot be found, a night on the sofa is the only option.

The latest eccentric Airbnb listing comes just a week after another London property went viral for offering guests a spot in a ‘romantic’ tent in the living room.
Available at a set price of £68 a night, the indoor camping experience varies by date and there are discounts available, which could see the rate drop to £38 – a bargain £1,140 for a month’s stay.
For this, guests can enjoy a centrally-located spot between the capital’s iconic Mayfair and Covent Garden.
Renters must be prepared to bunk in with other visitors though with three tents visible in the photos.
The unusual place has been a hit among tenants and boasts an average rating of 4.45 stars.
One guest wrote: ‘Not pretentious accommodation in a very central area, perfect for a short stay. Excellent communication with the host.’
Another discovered some fundamental problems with renting a tent in a room full of strangers and wrote: ‘Excellent location rooms/shower/tents small and noisy. I slept in a tent in the living room [and] suddenly other guests all came to eat.’
Meanwhile social media users have been giving their opinions.
One wrote: ‘Heading over to London next week for a few client meetings and new projects and was looking for accommodation on Airbnb, when this caught my eye.
‘I mean, props to them, they even put some “office space” in there if you need to do a quick client call – all while sitting next to a snoring stranger who’s probably had one too many pints the night before!’
Someone else added: ‘Looking for a reasonable place to stay in London on Airbnb, I spotted this absolute bargain: a TENT in someone’s living room for £65 a night! Added extras: a shared TOILET and SINK. And they say that London is expensive…’
