'Besotted' Kylie Jenner knows what she wants from relationship with Timothée Chalamet, but he kept 'some distance' during their PDA at Golden Globes, body language expert claims

While Timothée Chalamet may have walked the red carpet alone at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, he was joined by girlfriend Kylie Jenner during the ceremony for what a body language expert called their ‘own private date night.’

Chalamet and Jenner, who have been dating since April 2023, looked smitten as they sat next to each other at the awards, with the Kardashians star wearing a low-cut, silver beaded dress and the actor in a sparkling black suit.

Before the show even began handing out awards, Jenner’s boyfriend was called out by host Nikki Glaser in her opening monologue for his facial hair.

‘You have the most gorgeous eyelashes on your upper lip,’ Glaser cracked.

However, the joke seemed to roll right off of Chalamet’s back, as he had a smile on his face alongside Jenner – but according to body language expert Judi James, the two have a ‘static’ relationship.

‘Timothée was on the red carpet alone but treating the ceremony itself like his own private date night with Kylie,’ James told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘The body language of the night’s hottest couple does seem rather static in terms of evolution though, meaning that, signal-wise, they seem to manage to remain at the same stage of their relationship throughout the time they’ve been together,’ she said.

James also noted that their body language at the table was something that we’ve seen before.

‘There was the same “back view at the table” intimate chatting pose that they’ve done at other big events, and Timothée performs a rather bashful stare here while Kylie looks more adult and perhaps more focused about where she wants the relationship to go,’ she said.

‘While Timothée was getting roasted from the stage in this moment he kept some distance from Kylie although her powerful glance at him as she clapped suggested loyal support and quite high levels of affection,’ James continued.

The body language expert noticed that Jenner seemed especially in love with the actor on Sunday.

‘Kylie just looks more besotted than Timothée,’ James said.

‘Further proof came in her body language flipping between her “date night” behavior with him and her non-verbal rituals when she posed away from him, when she went back to one of her signature gestures of the “breast-cup” which suggests a desire to frame the body or to attract attention and admiration,’ the expert explained.

Chalamet was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his role in A Complete Unknown, but lost to Adrien Brody for his part in The Brutalist.

The couple’s appearance at the awards show comes just days after a source told People that their relationship is ‘very easy.’

‘They had an early Christmas celebration together before Kylie spent Christmas Day with her family,’ the source told the outlet.

‘It took Kylie a long time to introduce him to her kids. He’s part of the family now though. Her kids know him as a “friend.”‘

The source also added that they are both ‘committed to making it work.’

Previously, Jenner was in a relationship with rapper Travis Scott.

The two share two children together – daughter Stormi Webster, 6, and son Aire Webster, 3.
