Made famous by slow-motion sequences on the beaches of Malibu, Pamela Anderson‘s red one-piece is one of the most recognisable swimsuits in the world.
The legendary swimming costume is set to make a splash in London at the Design Museum next March where it will be featured in an exhibition dedicated to ‘a century of swimming and style’.
The exhibition, which will run until August 2025, has been put together by dress and design historian Amber Butchard who is known for her history segments on BBC One’s The Great British Sewing Bee.
More than 200 objects will be on show including a ‘selection of eye-catching men’s Speedos from the 1980s’ as well as the banned ‘technical doping‘ LZR Racer swimsuit.
Here, FEMAIL has curated our own collection of the craziest swimsuits donned by celebrities through the years.

But these are the looks most deserving of a spot in an exhibition dedicated to 100 years of swimming and style.
