A massive brawl between parents watching their children compete at the NCA All-Star National Championship over the weekend led to 10 people being injured and a large police presence.

How the brawl started is unclear, but a video has circulated of the fight involving several men and women, with some on the ground wrestling and being pulled apart.

The brawl, which happened on Saturday at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, caused a huge disturbance, with local police reporting the fight started around 1 p.m., with multiple poles being knocked down, per ABC 13.

Per the Dallas police report, multiple people thought the noise the poles made when falling were gunshots. They called 911, leading to a large collective of police arriving to the scene.

The panic was later described as a ‘stampede’, with another video showing cheerleaders and parents running in every direction away from the building.

The brawl and the ensuing pandemonium led to the cancellation of the rest of Saturday’s championship events.

NCA called the cancellation an ‘unexpected and shocking day one’, which was blasted on social media.

‘Those that started this chaos should be banned from all further competitions! My grand daughter was there and it was total chaos as well as being extremely upsetting for all in attending,’ one Facebook comment read.

Per Fox 4, the 10 individuals suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The competition did resume on Sunday, with some teams choosing to no longer compete.

No arrests have been made from the incident, with it still being under investigation, per Dallas police.
