The pop star has always had a penchant for towering heels throughout her career, whether she was performing, hitting a red carpet, or posing for a photoshoot.

Even now, the mom of two wears sky-high boots or platforms onstage.

‘I f****d up the cartilage in my knee,’ Christina continued.

According to the surgeons at Ventura Orthopedics, wearing high heels can lead to ankle sprains, knee and back pain, hammertoes, and corns and calluses, with one survey stating that 71 per cent of women experience pain and discomfort from heels.

However, the 2000s pop star still admires Raye for ditching her shoes onstage and said, ‘I love that about you.’

But don’t expect Christina to ditch her signature designer footwear anytime soon, as she admitted, ‘I never had the balls to just do it.’

Raye isn’t a fan of wearing heels, or any type of footwear onstage, even when she accepts awards.

The London-born singer, whose full name Rachel Agatha Keen, told Christina, ‘I feel like when I’m wearing shoes, I’m thinking about wearing shoes, asking, ‘Is that weird?’

Christina also talked about the beginning of her career, when there was a specific look for a pop star since it was ‘a really big pop boom’ as other artists like Britney Spears, Mandy Moore and Jessica Simpson were also coming up at the time.

‘I felt like my voice was stifled,’ the Burlesque star revealed as the two singers caught up in her living room.

‘You’re going to have situations where you have no creative control or you’re in a position where your hands are tied,’ Christina, a self-described ‘control freak,’ said.
