A teen and his friends have stunned their fellow classmates after arriving at their school prom in body bags.

Lucas Jameson, 16, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, made a grand entrance to his year 11 prom dressed in a £600 suit and encased in a black corpse bag, along with two of his friends.

The idea came about after a family friend suggested it to Lucas, and soon enough his stepdad Dean Jameson leapt into action to make the stunt a reality. He roped his friends into the shenanigans by telling them they couldn’t attend with him unless they joined in too.

A video posted to Facebook shows the three teens being taken from the back of a blue van in black body bags before being laid on the ground and unzipped by men in balaclavas.

Lucas’ mum Laura Jameson, 38, was all for the stunt, although she feared shocked onlookers would call the police. She said: ‘If somebody was watching me I probably would have had the police come round because I’d ordered three body bags and balaclavas.

‘I was excited, I thought it was a brilliant idea. It’s always really good to be original and think of something different.

‘It’s better than just your traditional fancy car, I’ve never seen it done before’.

The inventive lad also cosplayed as the Duke of Edinburgh, which perhaps explains the suit’s hefty price tag.

Laura, a mum-of-four who works as an autism assessment and support officer, added: ‘He was doing his Duke of Edinburgh at the same time as well so I’d ordered him a pen knife and everything so I probably looked like I was up to something’.

The lads were driven to their big day on July 6 at Foxfields Country Hotel in Billington, Lancashire.

The big finale required extensive planning, as well as a range of props – including the balaclavas and body bags – which Laura said she purchased from Amazon.

For those thinking Lucas’ entrance was spectacular enough, it was nothing compared to his initial plan, which involved being chucked out of a moving helicopter.

The total cost of the body bag stunt came to around £60 and since this was far cheaper than hiring a helicopter, Lucas decided to spend the money he saved on a £600 suit to wear on the night.

Laura was chuffed with the performance, as were other schoolgoers who said it was the ‘best’ entrance they’d ever seen

Lucas and his family were all for the bizarre entrance but his friends took some convincing to join in. Lucas claimed he told them they had to, or they couldn’t go to prom with him.

Laura sneakily informed one of the teachers about the plan beforehand so the school could have cameras at the ready.

Laura was chuffed with the performance, as were other schoolgoers who said it was the ‘best’ entrance they’d ever seen.

She continued: ‘Everyone said that was the best entrance they’d ever seen, all the teachers said it was absolutely original.

‘I think they’ll always remember that and I think everyone else will as well. They’ll think of that for years to come.

‘The best one compared to theirs was a girl drove a tractor in and someone rode a horse in’.
