Hollywood star Ewan McGregor has sold his sprawling Los Angeles home for £5million, after moving back to Scotland.
The actor quit LA as he felt a pull back to his homeland and announced last week he is now based here permanently.
McGregor, 54, purchased a ten-bedroom mansion for £2.35million near his home town of Crieff, Perthshire, in 2023 and carried out extensive renovations to the C-listed property.
He and his wife, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 40, put their US home in LA’s Topanga Canyon on the market for £6.5million earlier this year.

They later dropped the price and sold it for £5million. But McGregor still made a healthy profit on the luxury property, which featured in his Long Way Home TV series, after buying it for £2million in 2018.
Set in 29 acres of land, the modern house has three bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It also boasts a detached gym, swimming pool, two guest cottages and a large garage where the actor kept his motorcycle and car collection.
A sales brochure read: ‘This one-of-a-kind compound offers unmatched access to nature, style, and seclusion alongside the convenience of nearby cafes, boutiques and… artistic vibrancy.’
Accepting an award at Bafta Scotland’s ceremony last week, McGregor said: ‘Mary and I are now here in Scotland, so to save us the pain of having to be apart, maybe you could come up with lots of Scottish films that we can be in together.’
