He is the favourite to win this year’s I’m A Celebrity.

And social media sensation AngryGinge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, admitted he is ‘feeling the pressure’ to be entertaining for ITV viewers and has shared his fears of ‘imposter syndrome’.

The 25-year-old, who is close friends with fellow contestant rapper Aitch, told the Daily Mail: ‘I saw comments, even on the plane here saying, “Ginge and Aitch are going to…” It adds a little bit of pressure because you want to entertain anyway.

‘No matter what goes on in that camp, I want to make it good TV for the people watching. So there’s a little bit of pressure.

‘I think the main one I’m nervous about is meeting the rest of the cast just because I’ve never classed myself as a celebrity.

‘So going up and meeting other people that actually are celebrities, that’s quite nerve-wracking in itself. Because obviously growing up seeing them on TV and stuff like that.

‘I’ve got a feeling I might get a little bit of imposter syndrome.’

But the Salford-born internet star, who is friends with the darts champion Luke Littler, admitted he’d got advice from last year’s runner up, Coleen Rooney, on how to be successful in the Jungle.

Morgan, an avid Manchester United fan, is friends with her husband and the former England football captain, Wayne, who was also rumoured to be going on to this series.

He said: ‘Wayne was buzzing when I told him I was up for it. He said he can’t wait and he’ll be voting for me to do trials as well. So at least I know I’ve got the backing of them to make me do trials.

‘I’ve had some advice from Coleen as well, so that was good. Some tips and tricks while we’re in there.’

The WAG, 39, who placed second after McFly’s Danny Jones, told the social media star to reduce his caffeine intake a month before and to empty his water bottle out at trials so production refill it as the water in camp is ‘smokey’.

Morgan, who boasts five million followers across social media, has made an estimated £1million from livestreaming himself sat in his bedroom on the video platform Twitch chatting idly about football and commenting on trending topics.

He said: ‘I’m more happy to give my voice a little bit of a rest for a couple of weeks. Because normally I’m streaming for six to nine hours, which is constant talking.’

The 23-year-old Twitch streamer has become something of a Gen Z icon, boasting more than five million followers across his social media profiles (pictured with Wayne Rooney)

Morgan was signed by ITV with the hopes of attracting a Gen Z audience, to replicate the success of last year’s social media star GK Barry, who has gone on to host Loose Women.

When asked if he would be following in the 24-year-old’s footsteps, he didn’t rule out moving towards mainstream media but said: ‘I’ll always stay loyal. I’ve always lived my life with the saying, “Never forget where you came from”.

‘So no matter how this goes, I’ll never forget where I came from and I’ll always stay loyal to Twitch.’

It comes after his friend Aitch, 25, whose real name is Harrison Arm

Meanwhile, for Morgan it’s just about proving to the older generation that he isn’t just ‘d***head’ from social media.

He said: ‘For the older audience that don’t necessarily watch me stream, and they just see clips and they might think, “Oh, he’s a bit of a d**k”, which is fair enough, at least now if they do watch this they can actually see me for a bit longer than a 30-second clip.’

Morgan has previously revealed he grew up in a single parent household with his sister and mother, who raised them on just £12,500 a year before he moved out at 17 to take the pressure off her.

And he revealed he ‘rarely’ goes on holiday.

He said: ‘The only time I’ve left recently was for a charity match in Qatar. I filmed a video in Monaco last year. The last time I actually went away for a holiday was 2018 for my uncle’s wedding.’
