A couple at war with their next door neighbour and banned by police from speaking to her have spoken out to declare ‘she has made our lives hell for 23 years.’

Exasperated Pete and Marilyn Amos have hit back at retired teacher Lorraine Perro after she was slapped with a police warning in a row over leaves, garden debris and parking – and they both agree: ‘She deserves it!’

Ms Perro, 66, has been infuriated by the Community Protection Warning which stems from her never-ending issues with the pensioners and believes she should never have been given one.

The squabbling neighbours live in near identical red brick detached homes in the leafy Nottinghamshire suburb of Eastwood.

Neither the lone householder nor the couple are allowed to talk to one another or communicate in any way after signing police ‘keep the peace’ orders.

In recent weeks after the Amos’s accused their neighbour of keeping an untidy front and garden with leaves and bark chippings blowing onto their drive and over their rear lawn

The row was over this piece of land, with leaves reportedly blowing in from the park (left) onto the driveway 

But matters have escalated in recent weeks after the Amos’s accused their neighbour – through their local community officer – of keeping an untidy front and garden with leaves and bark chippings blowing onto their drive and over their rear lawn.

They also claimed her ‘inconsiderate parking’ meant their own car was blocked in their small drive.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police, who were called out, ruled Ms Perro’s garden waste constituted to antisocial behaviour.

Mr Amos, 74, a retired classic car sales manager, said: ‘She deserves that warning. She is the neighbour from hell.

‘We’ve lived here for 47 years and she has made our lives hell for the past 23 years. 

‘She’s crazy and she continues to invade our privacy and doing annoying things which are driving us mad.’

His wife, a retired customer services advisor for an insurance company, fumed: ‘She’s a nasty, horrible woman and we just want her to leave us alone.

‘We want a quiet life, and we don’t need the hassle, but we can’t with her next door. She’s a total nutter and I just ignore her.

‘I’m glad police have given her that a warning, they had every right and it’s about time, but I doubt it will stop her carryings on.’

The couple claim that Ms Perro, a former B&Q worker, has being plaguing them with antisocial behaviour ever since she moved in to the privately owned home in 2001.

They initially fell out over their set-back front wooden front gate being fixed on one side to her wall, which they eventually changed to being free-standing after she sawed one off her wall.

Over the years they claim she has spied on them with CCTV; kept a single pair of knickers on the washing line for 24 months; and stuck posters to her side walk branding them ‘Trespassers’ because of the once attached gate she claimed would cause structural damage to her house

Over the years they claim she has spied on them with CCTV, including a sound device to record their conversations; kept a single pair of knickers on the washing line for 24 months; and stuck posters to her side walk branding them ‘Trespassers’ because of the once attached front gate she claimed would cause structural damage to her house.

The worst thing they claim Ms Perro has allegedly done is mocking their 27-year-old daughter Heidi’s tragic suicide in 2008.

Mr Amos, speaking exclusively to MailOnline, said: ‘It was one Christmas and she hung three plastic Barbie dolls with blonde hair, the same colour as our daughter’s, with tinsel tied around their necks from her top front window.

‘Police did make her remove them.’

Lorraine Perro was infuriated by the Community Protection Warning she received from police over leaves blowing into her neighbour’s drive  

He added: ‘We’ve learned to live with whatever she does and try and blank it but if it gets too unbearable we call the police.

‘She’s terrible, and she’s upset other neighbours too. She never apologises. some things are so petty, others worse, but it is all so annoying.

‘We had a Ring doorbell fitted and she complained to police we were invading her privacy.’

On one occasion the couple – who have another adult daughter – were forced to take their neighbour to court for alleged harassment.

Mr Amos explained: ‘But she got off, claiming she had mental health issues and later bragging that was the best way to get off.’

The couple further claim that she has blocked their drive with workman’s vehicles and wheelie bins, has thrown chunks of grass into their back garden, sent them bogus letters saying she is suing them for ‘traumatising’ her, has hung a giant canvas yachting sail from her back window and blocking their light.

Mr Amos continued: ‘She’s deliberately sprayed me with a hose pipe and for ages kept old dug up decking, a washing machine and other junk in her front garden.

‘In desperation to make things better we tried mediation with the neighbour through Brixtowe Borough Mediation Service but that didn’t work.’

Mrs Amos said: ‘I’d move tomorrow to get away from her, but my husband refuses to be driven out by her.’

Ms Perro declined to discuss claims made against her, saying: ‘I feel I have made enough comments.’

She previously said of her police warning: ‘I feel terribly intimidated by this.

‘My rights and freedoms are affected, as it ignores my right to have my garden the way that I want it.

‘You are treated as a culprit, as if you have done something wrong and not given a chance to respond or defend yourself.

‘I am sure the public would like to see a better use of police time and resources in preventing serious crime.’
