A father is believed to have killed his three ‘angelic’ sons before taking his own life after they were all found dead at a home in a ‘quiet little neighbourhood’.
Married father Piotr Świderski, who is thought to be a Polish national, his twin boys and their brother – all under the age of four – were found by an ambulance crew at 1pm on Saturday.
Cops have confirmed the horrific incident on the residential street in Staines, Surrey, is isolated and do not believe anyone else was involved, igniting fears the tyre-fitter may have killed his children.
The young boys’ mother and next of kin are currently being supported by specialist officers.
The force have also referred themselves to the police watchdog as they revealed they had previous contact with the family in August 2023.

Discussing Piotr, neighbour Mike Cresswell, 68, told The Sun: ‘He seemed like a lovely guy but you couldn’t get to speak to him because he was always so stressed.

‘They were a beautiful family. The kids were well loved and well looked after.’
Another neighbour, 55, said the boys were ‘angelic’ and remarked how they seemed ‘happy as larry’, adding: ‘The kids were always laughing and happy.’
One resident, who asked not to be named, said: ‘There’s never any trouble around here.
‘There was nothing to indicate that something like this was going to happen – no rows, no noise, nothing.’
Another neighbour said: ‘They were a perfect family, lovely kids. He was a nice guy and his wife was really nice.
‘No one on the street knows why [this happened], but we can’t believe it – it’s horrific.’
Mr Swiderski, believed to be a Polish national, posted a picture of his honeymoon in the Dominican Republic on Instagram in 2019, and a picture of his wife when she was eight months pregnant in 2020 with the caption: ‘Can’t wait to meet you, son.’

A floral tribute, which left against the wall of the wall of the property, read: ‘Rest in peace little ones. We will always think of you.’
DCI Gareth Hicks, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘This is a truly tragic incident and a thorough investigation is underway to establish exactly what happened.
‘We would like to thank the local community for their support and understanding whilst we have been conducting our enquiries.
‘We can also now update that whilst Bremer Road was closed for a significant amount of time yesterday, it has now fully re-opened and there will continue to be a police presence in the area for the foreseeable.’
Postmortems and formal identification are set to take place in due course.
Nextdoor neighbour Shehr Sikandari previously told of how he heard a woman’s ‘horrific screams’ shortly before police arrived to the scene.
He said: ‘It is unbelievable and traumatic what we have heard. We are still in shock.
‘Three lovely children – we have seen them playing. It’s a lovely family.
‘We moved in here two months ago so we’ve had just a few interactions. We haven’t known them for long but it is still a life being lost so it is just quite devastating.’
Mr Sikandari, a 48-year-old telecommunications consultant, added: ‘I haven’t met the dad much, but the children and the mum were quite lively, quite jolly.
‘The children used to play in the back all the time – making noises of joy, jumping around, playing and being very happy.
‘They were full of life. They used to often go for a walk in the park or a stroll.
‘Just before the police came we heard loud screams. We didn’t hear anything before that. We thought they were not at home – maybe outside somewhere.
‘Usually they take their children out on their bikes – so we thought they may be out and about.
‘We had breakfast outside at around 10am. It was quiet and we didn’t hear anything.
‘After 12pm we heard some screams and then the police came.’
Mr Sikandari claimed it was a woman who was screaming.
He added: ‘The woman, she was screaming. They were quite horrific screams and everyone came out to see what was happening.’

Police were called to the scene at around 1.15pm yesterday, where they found the four bodies
A local told The Sun: ‘This is like the quintessential quiet town – you’d never expect it. It’s just a normal house in a pretty normal street in a really boring place.’
Neighbour Vincenzo Alba, 37, saw the bodies being removed yesterday evening.
‘It’s been a massive shock for all of our neighbours. It’s scary when something like this happens on your doorstep, especially when kids are involved,’ he said.
Another local said the twins were ‘always laughing and happy’.
Chief Inspector Lucy Sanders of Surrey Police said yesterday: ‘This is a tragic loss of life in our community and we are working to establish exactly what has occurred.
‘There is currently a significant police presence at the location, and in the surrounding area, and we would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding whilst we conduct our investigation.’
An IOPC spokesperson said: ‘We have been notified by Surrey Police about the tragic incident in Spelthorne today.
‘We will be assessing a referral from the force to decide whether any action is required by the IOPC.’
