Brooklyn Beckham has been blasted by fans who have pointed out how his parents Victoria and David backed all of his career changes following his scathing online attack.

The 26-year-old took to social media on Monday night to break his silence on his long-running feud with his family as he declared he did ‘not want to reconcile’ with the clan.

In his six-page statement, Brooklyn accused his parents of intentionally trying to break up his relationship to wife Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn also claimed he has been ‘controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else’ and that since being with Nicola, he has found ‘peace and relief’ after battling crippling anxiety.

He also alleged Victoria, who has her own fashion brand, cancelled making Nicola’s wedding dress at the ‘eleventh hour’ and hijacked their first dance which left him so ’embarrassed’ they decided to renew their vows without his family last year.

However, Brooklyn’s impassioned statement about his family has left fans pointing out how his parents have supported every career he has wanted to explore.

Nepo baby Brooklyn previously tried to forge out a football career just like his dad David, 50, although quit after realising it would be ‘difficult’ to live up to his reputation.

He had previously played in Arsenal’s youth academy but decided to give up the sport when the club released him at 16.

Brooklyn also tried his hand at photography and released his infamous What I See book in 2017, sharing captures of his life and family.

At the time, Brooklyn was criticised for including blurry, shadowy images of elephants in Kenya as he simply captioned the captures ‘so hard to photograph’.

Brooklyn also went into modelling before eventually setting his sights on cooking, where the budding chef launched his hot sauce company Cloud 23.

Taking to social media, fans said how Brooklyn didn’t mind his parents’ help when it came to using the family ‘brand’ as a springboard for his career changes and how he has his billionaire heiress wife to ‘fall back’.

One said: ‘Y’all not going to convince me that Brooklyn Beckham is a victim of his parents when they supported him in every one of his careers, especially when they financed his photography facet and that was his job. I’m dying at the descriptions’;

‘Brooklyn Beckham crying all over his instagram about his controlling parents but is verrrrry happy to keep their family name behind his 419823 failed careers’;

‘If the Beckham’s are so bad, why did Brooklyn wait until he was 26 to cut them off? Could it be that he now has a billionaire heiress wife to fall back on? It’s not like he left home at 18 & is trying to find his way in life, living in shared accommodation’;

‘Brooklyn Beckham has gone nuclear. He’d do well to remember he’s had the most privileged life in the world and done absolutely nothing with it other than marry an heiress, which only happened because he’s got his dad’s last name’;

‘So basically, Brooklyn Beckham was controlled by his parents when he was living off of them, now he lives off his billionaire heiress wife, and shockingly turned on his parents. Buddy, grow some balls, go make some money abd make your own decisions for once’;

‘The only reason peeps know Brooklyn Beckham exists is because his old man was an iconic footballer & his mum was in the Spice Girls. The kid is a silver spoon job who’s never done a days work in his life & married an heiress so he could carry on his lazy, feckless life, bruv’;

‘Brooklyn Beckham would be working in lidl without his famous parents I think he should be careful slagging them off he’s nothing without them’;

‘Brooklyn Beckham complaining about his parents being performative and image oriented… well yeah… it’s their job to be. It’s exactly why he’s lived the life the rest of us can only dream of, and why he was ever in a position to meet his billionaire wife. Grow up’.

Others brought up his infamous elephant photographs as they reshared them online.

One commented: ‘Has to be said the elephant in the room of Brooklyn Beckham complaining of his family stifling him is a tad on the nose.’

Another wrote: ‘Incredible to see Brooklyn Beckham try to make me feel bad for him when he’s literally photographed an elephant.’

In his bombshell statement, Brooklyn said fractures within the family began during his and Nicola’s wedding in April 2022 as he claimed his mother and dad ‘endlessly tried’ to ruin their relationship.

In an impassioned statement, Brooklyn wrote: ‘I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.

‘Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

‘I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.

‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.

‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always come out.’

Following the tirade, Brooklyn’s dad David has been pictured for the first time as he struggled to smile as he appeared at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The former footballer, 50, looked weary-eyed as he posed for a promo photo and took part in a podcast interview on Radio Davos.

He appeared to be stuggling to put a brave face on, just hours after his son went nuclear on the Beckham brand.

The annual meeting in Davos opens with a stated motto of ‘improving the state of the world,’ and this year’s theme is ‘A spirit of dialogue.’
