- Tudor home enthusiast Fabiola posted a video showcasing the transformation
A homeowner has been slammed by critics for turning a Tudor-style mansion into newbuild-style contemporary home.
Tudor-home lover Fabiola posted a video showcasing the transformation to their Instagram account @littletudordiary.
The video, which appeared to have been posted by a construction firm, reveals how the homeowner wanted the property to have the style of a French country home.
Builders removed the timber façade and replaced it with a clean grey finish with dark grey window frames.
They added that the client also requested for the brickwork to be painted white, with new garage doors and gutters resulting in a drastic switch of style.

While the homeowner may have been happy with the renovation, critics blasted it on Instagram.
One commenter wrote: ‘I hate it. Since when is ‘removing all the detail and painting everything white’ French country? WTF kind of design school did you go to?’
Captioning the post, Fabiola wrote: ‘I get it’s possibly Not an old Tudor, but unfortunately, now it’s not French country either as I think that style has stone and earthy façade and those French shutters.
‘Therefore, not only [is it not Tudor] but it’s not a French country home. Please correct me if I am wrong.
‘I masked the design company on purpose, [at the end of the day] it’s always client wish and their home.’

One fumed: ‘Yes. A complete mess. Architorture.’
