Since turning 50 earlier this year and healing her rift with younger sister Lottie, Kate Moss has been enjoying a new lease of life on a series of girls’ nights out – but her carefree spirit seems to have come at a cost.
The model has reportedly ended her nine-year relationship with Count Nikolai Von Bismarck, 37, and moved out of their London home after their different approaches to life caused friction, according to insiders.
Kate gave up alcohol back in 2017 in favour of juice fasts, transcendental meditation and crystals, but although she’s put her wild partying days of the ’90s behind her she remains in demand as a model and naturally attracts invitations to all the glitziest events.
While Kate has incorporated some fun nights out into her wellness routine, Nikolai who partied with Princess Beatrice prior to spending two months in rehab in the US in 2017, is known to prefer quiet nights in with his books on art and European history.
A source told The Sun: ‘Despite being 13 years her junior, Nikolai wants to enjoy a quieter life. He remains on his sober path and they just have increasingly different hobbies and wants.
‘She felt they were going on different journeys in life. And, at 50, Kate feels fabulous and like she wants to get back out there and have some fun in time for Christmas.’
If Nikolai von Bismarck was hoping for some affection from Kate Moss it was not forthcoming as they made their first public appearance of 2024 at a Gucci fashion show in May

Nikolai was by her side for her milestone 50th birthday in Paris, where she threw a raucous party in classic Kate style, with dancing until 2am, a makeshift catwalk and a 30-strong group of her closest A-list pals and fashion’s finest names.
The couple were last seen in public together in June this year, attending the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week, but Nikolai has been absent from her social outings over the last few months that saw her dancing wildly at a Stevie Nicks concert and hitting the town with her sister Lottie, 26.
None of this will have initially raised eyebrows with those close to the couple, who have always taken a free-spirited approach to their relationship.
‘They are constantly on and off – but both are very bohemian about hook ups’, an insider with knowledge of her relationship with Nikolai previously told MailOnline.
And someone close to Kate’s circle said: ‘She’s a passionate person – and she is still incredibly flirtatious with people. Whether it is Nikolai, or whoever she is with, they just have to accept it and get on with it or they’ll go mad’.
The couple were reportedly introduced by Nikolai’s mother Countess Debonnaire von Bismarck.

Born to a military officer father and a aristocratic mother in 1959, the society beauty has been dubbed the ‘best hostess in London,’ by Vanity Fair and regularly has royalty and the biggest names in the London float into her – appointment only – gift shop Debonnaire.
In 1984, she married Count Leopold von Bismarck-Schönhausen, the youngest son of Otto Christian Archibald, Prince of Bismarck and Ann-Mari Tengbom. Together they have four sons, including Nikolai.
Kate, who describes the countess as a ‘one-off’, has long retained her services as a stylist and all-round design guru.
Indeed, when Kate was appointed Vogue’s contributing fashion editor in 2014 she persuaded Debbie and her husband Count Leopold von Bismarck-Schonhausen, to open the doors of their £7 million Chelsea home for a shoot. Kate’s assessment of the property said a lot about what she finds attractive about Nikolai. She called it ‘London’s most glamorous party house’.
A year after that Vouge shoot, a happy-looking Kate was spotted escorting photographer Nikoali, then 28, to a cinema near her home in north London.
It had been troubling times for the world’s most iconic supermodel, who had just endured the painful and very public collapse of her four-year marriage to Jamie Hince from The Kills.

This week, Kate took a tumble while enjoying a cigarette outside a restaurant in Paris on Sunday at her daughter’s birthday party after a busy Fashion Week
Jamie was caught in a tender clinch with buxom lingerie model Jessica Stam in America just a few weeks earlier.
But it then emerged that Nikolai and Kate had a secret week-long break on the romantic private island of Mustique where she is said to have removed her wedding ring.
Many, including her friends, were tempted to portray Jamie as the man who broke the heart of the nation’s favourite model – the first and only man who took her down the aisle.
But others have said she never got over Johnny Depp, with whom she spent four happy and chaotic years until 1998.
‘The truth is she has never recovered from what happened with Johnny [Depp] and how their relationship ended the way it did. She was heartbroken. I’m not sure she ever fully trusted a partner again’, an insider said.
Depp was the one who got away, and the defining love affair of her life, friends say.

Friends say that Johnny Depp was the man who truly broke Kate’s heart. They were together in the mid-1990s
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince walk outside the church after getting married on July 1, 2011. They split in 2015.
Some believe she is still in love with him and admitted herself that she ‘lost the plot’ when they broke up.
Johnny said hurtful things about being ‘broody’ and needing to meet the mother of his children shortly their chaotic Cannes Film Festival in May 1998, where Depp was promoting the film Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas.
It had been a global love affair, conducted at the Ritz hotel in Paris and the Chateau Marmont and The Viper Room in Los Angeles, with the couple flying around the world by private jet.
When they met, he was 31, she was 20. He introduced the young Croydon model to art galleries, the joy of owning first-edition books and his bohemian heroes, whom she adopted as her own.
During the course of their four-year romance, Johnny Depp presented Kate Moss with a diamond necklace — nestled between his buttocks, for a joke — and apparently poured her a bath of 36 bottles of champagne.
By 1998, Moss had hopes they would marry – but just at that point Depp dumped her.
A few weeks later, he met French actress Vanessa Paradis, and within three months she was expecting his baby.
Soon afterwards Kate went to rehab for the first time, and by her own admission she cried ‘for years’.
Their story began at the Cafe Tabac in New York’s East Village in February 1994, when Depp and Moss were introduced by a journalist acquaintance.
Moss later recalled: ‘I knew from that moment that we would be together . . . We just sat down and talked sheer nonsense, and from that moment didn’t want to be apart.’
Maureen Callahan, author of Champagne Supernovas, wrote of the encounter: ‘They had a drink, did some coke, and then went back to his hotel room, where they holed up the next day through a snowstorm.’
He would meet her in Paris, whisking her off to an £18,000-a-night suite at the Ritz, even though she had her own apartment in the city.
Legend has it they made love in every one of the Chateau Marmont’s 63 bedrooms.
Moss later reflected: ‘There’s no one that’s ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said.
‘Like if I said, ‘What do I do?’, he’d tell me. And that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust.’
But the love affair was always volatile. In September 1994, in the early days of the romance, Depp trashed the presidential suite at New York’s exclusive Mark Hotel – later the scene of Meghan Markle’s lavish baby shower.
Moss, who had been present, was unhurt and, after declining to leave, Depp was taken to a cell by the NYPD and charged with criminal mischief. However, the charges were later dropped.
Aside from being landed with a $9,000 bill to restore the hotel’s damaged furnishings, no harm seems to have been done.
One friend of Moss said previously of her relationship with Depp: ‘It was a romance which really shaped her. It’s not about money and bling and showing off — that’s just vulgar and stupid’.
There were ‘bust-ups’ during the romance, sparked mostly by Moss’s jealousy and Depp’s mood swings.
They split briefly in 1997, because of her partying and ‘the clinginess’. Moss was seen being comforted by a number of men, including actor Leonardo Di Caprio. But she and Depp reconciled — she missed him.
The rekindled romance lasted only six months. In January 1998, Depp reportedly ordered 36 bottles of champagne to fill a Victorian bathtub at the Portobello Hotel in Notting Hill.
Their final outing as a couple was at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1998, where Depp was promoting the film Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. That was their final chapter.
Not long after, Depp spoke regretfully about his single status in an interview. He told Hello! magazine: ‘I have been so stupid because we had so much going for our relationship. I’m the one who has to take responsibility for what happened — I was difficult to get on with’.
A few weeks later, in the summer of 1998, Depp bumped into French actress Vanessa Paradis in the lobby of a hotel in Paris. Once again, it was love at first sight. This time, though, everything was different: Paradis fell pregnant in August 1998. Their daughter, Lily Rose, arrived in May 1999.
Moss was devastated, and in December 1998 she checked into the Priory for five weeks. She later told The Face magazine: ‘I never wanted to go to rehab . . . I had lost the plot really.’
A period of happiness followed when she met Dazed & Confused editor Jefferson Hack.
Jefferson and Kate dated from 2001 to 2004 and welcomed their daughter Lila in 2002.
They remain close and Hack has been photographed smiling with Kate and current boyfriend Nikolai.
The author and journalist recently said that maintaining his relationship with the mother of child was one of the proudest things in his life, when he gave a rare interview about their modern family.
Speaking to The Sunday Times’ magazine, Jefferson said: ‘My relationship with Lila Grace and her mum is the thing I’m most proud of’.
They’ve managed to put their daughter first as single parents and as extremely influential characters, though despite their stratospheric fame, Jefferson said his daughter thinks the pair are ‘deeply uncool’.
A chaotic relationship with Pete Doherty followed. They dated from 2005 to 2007.
When supermodel Kate Moss met hellraising Libertines and Babyshambles star Pete at her 31st birthday party in 2005, little did she know that the next two years of her life would descend into chaos.
They were Britain’s most talked-about celebrity couple.
In his recent book, A Likely Lad, Doherty tells how he once accidentally set off a panic alarm in Moss’s bedroom at her home in St John’s Wood, North-West London, prompting 12 armed police officers to turn up at the door.
He confessed that he pressed the button, which is thought to have been linked to the local police station, while looking down the side of the supermodel’s bed for a piece of crack cocaine he had lost.
Unsurprisingly, Doherty admits, Moss was not happy and the episode was one of the factors that led to the end of their tumultuous two-year affair in July 2007.
Doherty demanded Moss get a tattoo of his initials as a sign of her devotion.
‘I insisted she get on a bus with me,’ wrote Doherty. ‘She went everywhere in a limo usually. We got dressed up in disguise, put on wigs, and jumped on the bus around London. We used to have a bit of a laugh.
‘We got matching tattoos that first week, too. I think I insisted on that. I wanted her to prove her love, so I said, you’ve got to get a tattoo with my initials on, you’ve got to get branded – it was more of an insecurity thing on my part.’
But his partying eventually grew too wild for Kate.
‘Kate Moss didn’t go to crack dens. She never had an interest in all that, and, if I’m honest, that’s why we broke up’, he said in 2022.
In taking up with young Count Nikolai von Bismarck after her marriage to Jamie Hince failed, she gained entrance into a social circle that cannot be bought with any amount of fame or wealth – the British aristocracy.
Count Nikolai was one of the most eligible bachelors in England – and not just because he is the heir to a multi-million pound fortune and the great-great-grandson of Otto von Bismarck, the first chancellor of Germany.
He moves in royal circles thanks to his mother Debbie, who styled both Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. He was even romantically linked to Beatrice, who he counts as a friend.
He is considered a fashionista thanks to his family connections with the late style icon Isabella Blow, as well as photographers Mario Testino and Annie Leibovitz.
Since leaving Harrow, Nikolai had been living on-and-off at his parents’ palatial Belgravia home.
His fashion stylist mother Debbie –who is also a long-time friend of Kate’s.
Friend say Kate loves baby-faced Nikolai’s bohemian outlook and style.
He spent his gap year following the Inca trail in Peru and during a three-week camping trip in Ethiopia he drank cow’s blood for breakfast every day.
Though there may be a 13-year age gap between them, Kate is said to believe that Nikolai is ‘an old soul’.
But some of Kate’s Primrose Hill set, including Sadie Frost, are said to have told her in their early days that they felt less comfortable with her dating the son of one of her friends.
Some even advised her that the relationship is bound to appear ‘a little incestuous’ to outsiders.
But the relationship has endured for eight years. And friends insist that the affair, one of her longest, may not be doomed yet.
Last summer he was seen heading to a hotel with French-American model Camille Rowe, however, he was central to Kate’s 50th birthday celebrations in January.
Many of her friendships were forged when Kate was a member of The Primrose Hill Set – a name given to the all-star group of edgy residents of the leafy neighbourhood, who were known in their heyday for their raucous behaviour with stories of their antics becoming the stuff of legends.
In her partying heyday, Kate’s love of boozing reportedly extended to flutes of prosecco at 8am and glasses of wine and vodka at lunch, saw friends coin her the nickname ‘The Tank’.
Those days are now behind her, but she can certainly still enjoy a fun evening out with friends.
Here Femail reveals the lowdown on Kate’s very sociable year.
January: 50th birthday party
Celebrating her milestone in the opulent, pastel-coloured environs of the exclusive Laurent Restaurant in the fashion capital of the world, Paris, Kate wore a vintage black lace dress and satin cape for the extravagant affair.
Stella McCartney, Venus Williams, Edward Enninful, and Charlotte Tilbury, stopped passers-by dead in their tracks as they took over the Michelin-starred venue, chatting in the smoking area with The Rolling Stones and David Bowie pumping loudly through the speakers.
The last to leave at 2am, Kate hopped into a taxi with her daughter Lila and boyfriend Count Nikolai.
Kicking off the year, she threw a raucous 50th birthday party in classic Kate style, with dancing until 2am, a makeshift catwalk and a 30-strong group of fashion’s finest names (pictured at the event in January)
May: Gucci fashion show and concert in Turkey
In May, Kate was seen looking all partied out while linking arms with a male companion as she headed home from the Gucci Cruise 2025 show in London.
Just weeks later, she attended a concert in Turkey, where she watched Skip, the grandson of late reggae superstar Bob Marley, performing.
In fact, she was reportedly so excited by Skip’s performance, that she reportedly ran on stage and had to be ushered away by guards.
However, the move did not appear to bother the musician, who was later snapped holding hands with the supermodel.
According to a spectator: ‘Kate ran on stage as she loved it so much. She was escorted off the stage by security. I don’t know whether there’s a “thing” [between the pair] but she’s a fan for sure. It was all very sweet and non-confrontational.’

July: Two parties in one night with Taylor Swift and Charlotte Tilbury and Stevie Nicks concert
In July, she partied the night away with Taylor Swift’s famed ‘London girl squad’, who were pictured enjoying an evening out in Notting Hill.
Taylor let her hair down at Argentinean restaurant Casa Cruz alongside a new posse including Kate, Stella McCartney, Andrew Scott, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cara Delevingne and Lena Dunham.
The singer’s close pals, Haim sisters Este and Danielle as well as music legend Chrissie Hynde were also present for the revelry.
Straight after the meal, Kate reportedly dashed to another star-studded bash, making her way across town to her friend Charlotte Tilbury’s house party.
In July, she was seen sipping on drinks and even ripped her black and gold dress at the sleeve after throwing some serious dance moves while enjoying Stevie Nicks ‘ British Summer Time gig in London’s Hyde Park
There, she was spotted mingling with the likes of Sienna Miller, Noel Gallagher and Damien Lewis until the early hours.
The model was snapped arm in arm with photographer friend Mert Alas as she arrived at the party, which went on all night as guests were seen coming and going until 3:30am.
A few days later, Kate was seen even ripping her black and gold dress at the sleeve after throwing some serious dance moves while enjoying Stevie Nicks’ British Summer Time gig in London’s Hyde Park.
It was a family affair for Kate, who was joined by her daughter Lila, her mother Linda Rosina Shepherd and as well as make-up artist and close pal Charlotte.
A source told The Sun: ‘Kate was the life and soul of the party at BST.
‘Kate can definitely still party, but it seems she prefers an early night now.’
There was no sign of Kate’s long-term boyfriend, Count Nikolai at the gig in Hyde Park – where Harry Styles gave a surprise duet with Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie, 76.
September: Family gathering, reunion with Lottie and partying in Paris
In September, Kate enjoyed a friendly get-together with her half-sister, Lottie just days after Lottie had revealed that at one point she had become so estranged from her family that even her own mother stopped talking to her.
The fall-out reportedly began when she started stripping off for adult subscription website OnlyFans, after moving to Los Angeles in 2021.
The family enjoyed a pub lunch at The Griffin in Fletching, East Sussex, with Kate’s daughter, Lila, their brother, Nick Moss, 47, and his girlfriend, Tracy Pooley to celebrate their father Peter’s 80th birthday.

It was a pivotal moment for the pair who have not been pictured together in years, with Lottie previously claiming Kate ‘doesn’t even reply to my texts’, despite once being so close that Lottie was a bridesmaid at Kate’s wedding and even moved into her sister’s Cotswolds mansion during the Covid pandemic.
Lottie grew up in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, with her Norwegian mother, Inger, the second wife of travel agent Peter – who is also Kate’s father.
Days later, Kate stayed out at the Chiltern Firehouse in London until 3am – outlasting her younger sister.
After the quick recovery she flaunted her toned legs in a black and silver semi-sheer dress to rejoin the party
The supermodel – who has embraced sober living – did look ready for bed, however, as she left the celebrity hotspot alongside friend and socialite Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath.
The joint outing signalled all was still well between the pair following their surprise reunion at their father Peter’s birthday – despite Lottie heading home early.
Later that month, Kate took a tumble while enjoying a cigarette outside a restaurant in Paris on Sunday at her daughter’s birthday party after a busy Fashion Week.
During the night she stepped out of the restaurant Cibus where the party was taking place to have a cigarette but as she perched on a wooden chair, it appeared she accidentally lost her balance and slipped onto the floor.
She was then helped up by the pals who were outside with her and laughed off the awkward moment before heading back into the venue.

October: Victoria’s Secret Show and afterparty
Kate made her surprise Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in New York City, taking the runway by storm in a black lace lingerie ensemble patterned with black roses.
Flashing plenty of skin in the classy look, the model added a pair of black feather angel wings and large white hoops as she took to the runway.
Afterwards, she headed to the ultra-luxe downtown spot Crane Club Restaurant for the after-party with her long-time pal Emma Weymouth.

November: Zara fashion launch
Kate was spotted enjoying a girls’ night out with designer pal Bella Freud at Oswald’s private members club in London’s Mayfair.
Days later she was back at the venue to celebrate her new collection with Zara on Wednesday evening as she gathered a group of her coolest pals to honour the launch.
The supermodel, 50, was joined by her daughter Lila, 22, and a selection of her nineties posse including Courtney Love and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie as well as selection of other famous faces.
