  • Hotel guests trying to bag a sunbed in Tenerife were given a shock by cleaners

Holidaymakers attempting to secure sunbeds were given a dose of instant karma when they saw their towels drenched by cleaners at a Tenerife hotel.

The footage was captured by an upset hotel guest, who was staying in a location that is notoriously popular with Brits.

The clip, posted to TikTok, illustrated the manoeuvres of some guests looking to bag themselves a poolside spot by laying down their towels on vacant sunbeds.

In a hilarious twist of fate, they were caught by the work of hotel cleaners who, unbothered by the towels, simply removed them to clean the beds and surrounding areas.

The hotel guests’ towels were then completely soaked after the diligent cleaners left no stone unturned in their work.

Posting to the social media platform, TikTok user @lshucks asked their followers: ‘Does this serve them right?’
