Mr Bean fans have gone wild amid speculation the iconic character is set to return to screens after Rowan Atkinson was spotted filming in London on Monday.

However all isn’t what it seems as instead of filming for a Mr Bean return, Rowan was in role for his latest series Man Vs Baby.
The comedy is a follow up to his 2022 series Man vs Bee and will see the star reprise his role as lead Trevor Bingley.
After a disastrous experience housesitting a high-tech mansion hampered by an inconvenient insect in Man vs Bee, Trevor now finds himself looking after a luxurious London penthouse, with another unlikely companion he didn’t ask for.
The new series will have four episodes and has been created and written by Rowan and Will Davies.
Back in December a hilarious first look at the series saw him be Photoshopped onto a series of scenes from other Netflix shows.
The first image saw him sat with Michelle Keegan in a scene from thriller Fool Me Once, while the second saw him in One Day with actress Eleanor Tomlinson.
In the third he ‘starred’ in Sex Education with Asa Butterfield and for the final was cast in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
Man vs Bee also starred Jing Lusi, Claudie Blakley, Tom Basden, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Greg McHugh.

Rowan Atkinson, 69, is ‘set to make a huge comeback in one of his most iconic roles after a six-year absence’

In 2022 Rowan made his TV comeback starring in Man Vs Bee as bumbling housesitting dad Trevor whose rivalry with an insect caused chaos.
Family man Trevor was a new employee at House Sitters Deluxe and his first big job was a luxurious mansion filled with priceless artwork, classic cars, and an adorable dog, Cupcake.
But Trevor is left out of his depth after an unwanted guest irritates him and as he struggles to triumph over the bee, he not only injures himself but causes destruction to the million-pound home he’s been paid to look after.
The nine-part series saw Rowan return to the small screen in an almost silent comedy reminiscent of his global hit Mr. Bean.
The Blackadder actor created the show alongside screenwriter and producer, Will Davies, who he last worked with on 2011 film Johnny English Reborn.
Crazy Rich Asians actress Jing Lusi starred alongside Rowan, as well as Green Wing’s Julian Rhind-Tutt and After Life actor Tom Basden.
Last February it was reported that Rowan is set to reprise one of his most iconic roles for the first time in six years.
The actor is thought to be starring in a fourth Johnny English film.

Last February it was reported that Rowan is set to reprise one of his most iconic roles for the first time in six years. The actor is thought to be starring in a fourth Johnny English film
Rowan was last seen as the titular spy in the third Johnny English film in 2018, alongside Ben Miller and Emma Thompson.
It’s thought that this film will be produced by Working Title Films, an off-shoot of Universal Pictures.
The series is a comedy spoof of James Bond and Rowan plays the eponymous, Mr. Bean-like English spy.
The star has previously said that a fourth film was unlikely to happen.
During a Reddit Ask Me Anything session, Rowan admitted: ‘I doubt it but thank you very much for implying you’d like to see another one.’
However, Rowan, who appeared in the 2023 film Wonka, then added: ‘But at the same time… never say never.’
