Jaw-dropping footage shows huge sharks swarming feeding boxes and clamping down with powerful bites during an intense underwater encounter in the Bahamas.
The clips were filmed by Ken Kiefer, 56, a professional underwater photographer from Texas, while diving around 30 miles off the coast of Grand Bahama, where he has spent more than two decades documenting sharks in their natural environment.
In the dramatic scenes, sharks are seen circling bait-filled boxes before suddenly lunging forward, biting down as excitement builds in the water around them.
As the animals rush past, Kiefer is seen remaining calmly in the middle of the action, even gently patting some of the sharks as they dart by.
The footage captures the sheer size and power of the sharks at close range, with the animals appearing to playfully bite and jostle around the feeding boxes.
The videos offer a rare look at close-up shark feeding encounters, filmed during one of Kiefer’s dives off the Bahamian coast.
