Jennifer Garner has ignited a mixed response after uploading a video in which she danced with her cat – with some insisting that she was hurting her pet.

Last week, the Alias actress randomly filmed her feline, Moose, in her arms as she spun him around in her living room.

While some of her followers found the quirky move ‘cute’ and ‘super fun,’ others expressed concern for the creature and urged Jennifer, who turned 53 on April 17, not to do it.

Taking to her Instagram comments, one worried fan advised: ‘Vets are telling people NOT to do this to their pets!! It can and does hurt them!!’

‘It is dangerous to lift any cat like this,’ another said. ‘Instead of playing that way, read about that.’

A third added: ‘How do you know he doesn’t care? You know animals can sick from spinning as well as people. Tired of some of you using animals as props for stupid videos.’

‘Actually, no, poor cat,’ another commented. ‘I’m sure he can’t be enjoy being swung around like that. What was even the point? No explanation, nothing.’

‘You shouldn’t do that,’ warned a fifth, while a sixth simply wrote, ‘Poor cat.’

Others, however, expressed their love for Hollywood star and noted that the clip showed how ‘down to earth’ Jennifer is.

‘God bless this woman,’ one penned. ‘We must protect her at all costs.’

‘Nailed it,’ said another. ‘Extra points for muffled giggles.’

‘I love you, Jen,’ a third added. ‘You’re so down to earth.’

Jennifer is paying the uproar no mind though and spent Easter Sunday with her ex-husband Ben Affleck and their children.

The actress was spotted driving away from Ben’s Brentwood residence on Sunday while their son Samuel, 13, appeared to be in the front seat of the vehicle.

The couple have stayed close friends since their divorce in 2018 and Jennifer steadfastly supported her ex through his divorce from Jennifer Lopez last year.

The same day as Jennifer was spotted at Ben’s home, Samuel joined his dad at World Market, where they picked up multiple bags’ worth of items.

Jennifer is a proud animal lover and has often showed her adorable pets on her socials 

Samuel is one of three children Jennifer shares with her ex. In addition to Samuel, the former couple have Violet, 19, and Fin, 16, together.

Last month, Ben praised Jennifer and their co-parenting partnership during an interview with British GQ.

‘I’m really lucky that I have a good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well.’

Last month, the pair were seen embracing during an outing, sending the internet into a frenzy.
