Kelly Brook and Jack Osbourne were ALWAYS going to clash on I'm A Celebrity for a simple reason – and it has nothing to do with the cooking

Jack Osbourne and Kelly Brook come from vastly different worlds: one grew up in a sprawling estate in Buckinghamshire, while the other was raised on a council estate in Rochester, Kent.

It’s no surprise that the pair, whose vastly different paths have somehow led them into the same series of I’m A Celebrity, don’t always see eye-to-eye on the ITV series.

Fans of the reality show have noticed tension between the campmates since they entered on Saturday, mainly revolving around the cooking.

On Monday night, Jack, 40, was quick to criticise how Kelly, 45, was peeling the potatoes, and again on last night’s episode when he commandeered the eel she was tasked with preparing.

But a friend of Kelly’s has brushed it off and told the Daily Mail that it is simply another instance of the hardworking model being ‘underestimated’ and boils down to their differing backgrounds.

They said: ‘Jack is a nepo kid from Hollywood, Kelly is old school and will always stand up for herself.

‘Kelly has seen it all, she has been underestimated all of her life, she has spent her whole life being attacked.

‘This is water off of a duck’s back for her.’

Observers noticed the grating interactions and commented so online, but it was Jack’s older sister, Kelly Osbourne, who turned the situation hostile by branding the glamour model a ‘bully’ to her millions of followers.

She took to Instagram yesterday and said: ‘Kelly Brook… I don’t think I like you. “Elbowing out of the way to get to the fish…” you’re so performative, with all the gagging and the over‑dramatics.

‘You bring out my big‑sister vibes where I want to attack you because I feel like you’re a bit of a bully.’

It was an unhelpful and unkind outburst that now has I’m A Celeb viewers also painting the actress out as a ‘bully’ in what has now become known as the ‘Jack versus Kelly feud’.

Kelly, who is now married to the Italian model Jeremy Parisi, has grafted her way from a Page 3 glamour model in the nineties to a judge on Britain’s Got Talent in 2007 and has starred in more than 10 blockbuster films.

Meanwhile Jack was put in front of the cameras from a young age, having appeared on his parents Sharon and Ozzy’s reality show, The Osbournes, in the early noughties, followed by a career on various reality TV shows.

Problems began between the pair when self-proclaimed chef, Jack, who announced he had been on Cooking With the Stars, told Kelly off for how she was peeling the potatoes.

Becoming emotional afterwards around the campfire, Kelly turned to Jack and said: ‘I’m not going to lie, last night I just felt, I just felt a bit lost.

‘I just wanted to be so useful, I’m just still trying to find my place in the camp in terms of what to do.

‘And so, I’m so sorry Jack, if I’m coming at you and if I’m cutting potatoes wrong.

‘Honestly, it’s only coming from a place where I just want to help.’

Jack fired back: ‘That’s just because in my world at home I’ve got four kids and I’m always just doing, doing, doing.’

The youngest Osbourne remarried the interior designer, Aree Gearhart, after splitting from Lisa Stelly, the mother of his four daughters Pearl, 13, Andy, 10, Minnie, seven, and Maple, three.

Kelly’s confession led Jack to tell camp he was going to take a step back from cooking and chores, as he wanted everyone else to get stuck in.

Fast forward to Wednesday night’s episode, Kelly was struggling to cut up the eel they had been given by producers for dinner and Jack offered, ‘Would you like me to cut up the fish?’

Although Kelly accepted, she later told viewers in the confessional hut, known as the Bush Telegraph, that Jack had ‘elbowed’ her aside.

Laughing, she said: ‘I saw Jack’s eyes light up, it was like Christmas to Jack, and he came running over and elbowed me out of the way to get to this fish like a caveman, and I was like, no, I’m going to do it.’

Kelly then insisted on chopping the fish herself but repeatedly gagged and retched at the smell.

Cue protective older sister Kelly Osbourne, who grew up fighting with Jack on their reality show, filming the inflammatory Instagram post that same evening.

The internet quickly piled in after with their views on the feud, agreeing with the mother-of-one that Kelly was being ‘unnecessarily dramatic’ in the Jungle.

One person wrote: ‘Got no time at all for all the little digs Kelly keeps making towards Jack.’

Others pleaded with the campmates to ‘go easy on Jack’ as he is still grieving the death of his father four months ago from a ‘shock’ heart attack aged 76, just 17 days after his final Black Sabbath gig in Birmingham.

As for inside the camp, I’m A Celeb sources have insisted the feud is ‘nothing more than bickering’ over the cooking, which is usual among campmates who live on a limited diet of rice and beans.

One source close to the show told the Mail: ‘Yes, there are tensions, but tensions with a lower case “t” which always happens when it comes to the cooking, they’re bickering, that’s it.

‘There’s no big row brewing off camera or anything between them, if there was, I’m A Celeb would definitely broadcast it, it would become a whole storyline in itself.

‘Pus, this is nothing compared to last year’s rows,’ in reference to Loose Women’s Jane Moore clashing with BBC radio host, Dean McCullough, over him not doing his chores.

But, being less than a week into the show, it is perhaps too soon to tell where these tensions between Jack and Kelly will lead.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
