Lady Gabriella Windsor paid a sweet tribute to Princess Kate during a rare public appearance at the royal’s Together at Christmas carol service.
Walking side-by-side with Carole Middleton, the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent was pictured wearing a glittering pair of Kate’s preferred pieces of jewellery from Missoma.

The Gold Zenyu Chandelier earrings were famously worn by the Princess of Wales on multiple occasions.

Featuring a gold hoop connected to a splayed fan, they are finished with a trim of delicate gold bobbles, making them both festive and bohemian at the same time. They are plated in 18ct gold and retail for £139.

They added just the right amount of glamour to Lady Gabriella’s ensemble of leather and suede at the event held last Friday.

Inspired by Colombia, these unique jewels were debuted by the Princess of Wales in 2019 when she dressed them down to visit the Chiatibo glacier in the Hindu Kush mountain range during a royal tour to Pakistan.

The versatile earrings effortlessly transitioned to the red carpet two years later when Kate paired them with an emerald floor-sweeping Jenny Packham embellished gown for the Royal Variety Performance.

Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the Missoma Zenyu earrings carry symbolic weight. Their intricate design reflects a sense of craftsmanship and timeless beauty, qualities often associated with Kate’s approach to royal duties.

CEO & Founder Marisa Hordern tells MailOnline: ‘I started Missoma because I was trying to find fashion-forward jewellery that was high quality and also affordable and realised that it didn’t exist, so I set about designing it myself. Fast forward to today and we’re shipping to over 200 countries worldwide.’

Since plucking out its Zenyu chandelier hoop earrings in 2019, Kate has regularly plumped for the label and has worn their Charm Hoop style ten times.

Also a long-term Missoma devotee is Meghan Markle, who has been seen in the Interstellar Ring and wrists full of their bracelets.

Ms Hordern explains that she has been lucky to experience the Kate-effect following the Princess of Wales’ appearances in her jewellery. She adds: ‘Zenyu hoop earrings always trend as our best sellers after Kate is spotted wearing them.’

For Lady Gabriella, joining the 1,600 guests who attended Kate’s Christmas service at Westminster Abbey, this will have been an especially poignant moment following the inquest into the death of her husband, Thomas Kingston.

Stepping out in a pair of earrings that have become synonymous with the Princess of Wales was a testament to the similarities between the two women, and Lady Gabriella may well have taken comfort from the message of love and empathy and the importance of human connection that Kate wrote about in the order of service.

The service also marks Kate’s gradual return to public duties following her cancer treatment. Her fourth ‘Together At Christmas’ carol service will be televised by ITV on Christmas Eve.

Showing that even the extended royal family isn’t immune to Kate’s influence, Lady Gabriella paired the earrings with a coat from Middleton’s go-to designer Catherine Walker.

Lady Gabriella’s choice of the Missoma earrings also demonstrated the subtle power of accessorising. Paired with a simple yet chic outfit, the earrings elevated her look, making it clear that she understands the importance of balance in royal dressing, a hallmark of Kate’s influence.

Appearing to be a traditionalist at heart, Lady Gabriella chooses refined bespoke luxury pieces from British designers and has long been known for her sophisticated yet understated wardrobe. The royal often favours classic cuts and neutral tones.

It’s no secret that Kate has revolutionised royal dressing, moving away from strictly traditional attire to embrace modern, versatile looks. For Lady Gabriella, who is less in the spotlight than senior royals, this accessory choice was a clever way to channel Kate’s star power without overshadowing the event.

The carol service itself was a star-studded affair and Lady Gabriella’s thoughtful accessory choice added a personal, almost familial touch to the evening.

So as Lady Gabriella continues to refine her style, one thing is clear, the Kate effect is here to stay, shaping the way royals approach fashion.
