Breaking:Raducanu loses 2-6 7-5 2-6
Match point Sun
Raducanu hits an amazing backhand cross-court to save the match point.
A double break down: Raducanu* 2-6 7-5 2-5 Sun
Raducanu hits a double fault on break point to give Sun a 5-2 lead in the third and final set.
The Brit really is in trouble now.
Raducanu 2-6 7-5 2-4 *Sun
Raducanu came close in that game going up 30-0 on Sun’s serve.
But the Brit put an easy forehand volley into the net at 40-30 giving her opponent the game.
How many more chances will there be for Raducanu?
Raducanu* 2-6 7-5 2-3 Sun
Emma smacks a forehand approach down the line to win her serve and there remains just one break between the two players.
The 21-year-old needs to look to reinvent some of that magic she found at the end of the second set if she wants to bring the score level.
Raducanu 2-6 7-5 1-3 *Sun
Raducanu fires a forehand down the line long giving the game to Sun.
The New Zealander now has a comfortable 3-1 lead in this third and final set but there is some way to go.
She holds: Raducanu* 2-6 7-5 1-2 Sun
Raducanu has won her serve with a fantastic ace down the T onto Sun’s backhand side.
Her big serves got her out of trouble in a couple of points there.
Importantly, however, Raducanu looks like she is moving freely after her injury timeout.
Raducanu 2-6 7-5 0-2 *Sun
Sun has held her serve game to back up her break in the opening game.
Raducanu once again must look for a way to change the momentum in this match.
Sun breaks: Raducanu* 2-6 7-5 0-1 Sun
Raducanu is back on court after her medical time out but she has been quickly broken in the third and final set.
It is the advantage the New Zealander was no doubt looking at the start of this decider.
Raducanu suffers awkward slip
Raducanu has called the trainer on court after an awkward slip on court.
The 21-year-old was reaching for a forehand when she jarred her knee and went down.
The match has been paused while Raducanu receives treatment on court.
She’s done it! Raducanu takes the second set
Just wow!
Raducanu has clinched the second set in a remarkable come back.
She played terrific tennis in that game – just forcing the New Zealander to play every ball.
It is probably fair to say Sun dominated the first set and much of the second but it’s Raducanu who has won the points when it really matters.
Set point Raducanu!
Can she take it?
Raducanu* 2-6 6-5 Sun
Raducanu holds her serve once again to an explosion of noise on Centre Court.
Sun gifted the 21-year-old a couple of easy points in that game. She now must serve to stay in this second set.
Raducanu 2-6 5-5 *Sun
An easy hold for Sun takes the score to 5-5 in this tight second set.
It is now up to Raducanu again to try and nudge ahead.
Raducanu* 2-6 5-4 Sun
Raducanu fires an ace past her opponent to win a comfortable service game.
The 21-year-old is now up 5-4 but the set is still going on serve with neither player yet to secure a break.
Will Raducanu be able to do it now as Sun serves to stay in the second set?
Raducanu 2-6 4-4 *Sun
Sun holds with a huge serve down the T to Raducanu’s forehand.
But Raducanu looked stronger in that game taking the New Zealander to deuce.
It marks a small change to what have been fairly straight forward holds up until this point.
Another tight hold for the Brit: Raducanu* 2-6 4-3 Sun
Raducanu has clung onto yet another tense service game as she roars to the crowd on her way back to the chair.
The 21-year-old faced break points again in that game but she was rewarded for playing bold in the big moments.
Raducanu fired one inside out forehand into the corner of the court on break point getting her out of a spot of bother.
She needs to dig deep now and find a way into Sun’s serve for the first time in this match if she wants a place in the quarter finals.
Raducanu 2-6 3-3 *Sun
The New Zealander holds to love levelling the score 3-3 in the second.
Their is a clear difference between the two players’ service games at the moment with Sun able to roll through hers with relative ease.
Raducanu on the other hand is being forced to dig deep with the games often going the distance.
Raducanu* 2-6 3-2 Sun
It’s another tussle of a service game for Raducanu but she holds keeping her nose in front.
We are starting to see the Brit bringing in a bit more variety to her shots which is proving her effective.
Her use of the slice in particular is forcing Sun to build the points herself.
Raducanu 2-6 2-2 *Sun
We are starting to see a spark from the Brit now who just missed out on breaking Sun’s serve.
Raducanu had a couple of break points in that game but Sun hung in on the rallies, just making the Brit play another ball each time.
It is the closeest, Raducanu, has come however to taking her opponent’s serve.
Raducanu holds tight service game: Raducanu* 2-6 2-1 Sun
Sun fires a backhand return long giving Raducanu a precious hold in the second set.
The 21-year-old pumped her fist as she returned to her chair for the change of ends.
Raducanu was certainly under pressure in that game but she held on, denying the New Zealander a chance to get ahead in the second set.
Raducanu 2-6 1-1 *Sun
Raducanu fires a backhand return wide and Sun levels in the second set.
It’s a comfortable hold for the New Zealander who is looking strong out on Centre Court today.
Raducanu* 2-6 1-0 Sun
The 21-year-old Brit has held her serve in the first game of the second set and goes up 1-0.
Raducanu loses the first set 6-2
Raducanu has gone a set down in her fourth round match against Lulu Sun.
It is a disappointing start for the 21-year-old who struggled to make a mark on her opponent and was broken twice.
Raducanu must now find a strong start to the second set if she hopes to stay in the tournament.
Sun secures the double break: Raducanu* 2-5 Sun
Raducanu has been broken again with Sun clinching the game with a punishing forehand drive volley.
The Brit is now certainly in trouble in this opening set.
Raducanu 2-4 *Sun
Sun has held her serve again maintaining that advantage in the opening set.
It was a relatively straight forward game for the New Zealander – who is the first from her nation to reach the fourth round of a slam in the Open Era.
Raducanu holds! Raducanu* 2-3 Sun
Raducanu has held her service game for the first time in the match so far.
The British ace is now looking more comfortable on court and is looking to build on the positive momentum from the past couple of games.
It is important to remember that this is a big moment for Raducanu with it being her first time in the fourth round of a slam in more than two years.
Raducanu 1-3 *Sun
Raducanu fires back with an impressive game, breaking Sun after the New Zealander shows the first sign of issues giving away a double fault and the game.
Raducanu* 0-3 Sun
Sun continues her dominant set with another game of breaking Raducanu’s serve.
This game was done in quick fashion with Sun winning every point.
The crowd seems to be stunned by what they are seeing.
Raducanu 0-2 *Sun
The second game is more even but also goes Sun’s way after she showcases several great shots.
The left-handed nature of Sun’s shots seems to be causing Raducanu trouble as she struggles to return them.
The game went all the way to deuce but the New Zealander managed to pull through with some impressive play.
Raducanu* 0-1 Sun
The first game starts off terribly for Raducanu as she quickly gives up three break points to the New Zealander.
She manages to pull a point back to 15-40, before going up to 30-40.
But the longest rally of the match ends with Sun winning the first game in an unexpected break game.
Deep breaths for Raducanu fans.
Match begins with Raducanu’s serve
Raducanu serves to start the match.
Players warm up on Centre Court
British summertime is temporarily on hiatus but the earlier rain has held off just now. The sun is firmly behind the clouds and there’s the note of a chill in the air.
Both players are warming up now.
We’ll be underway in a few minutes.
Who is Raducanu’s opponent Lulu Sun?
Lulu Sun is on the ride of her life, shining on what is her main draw debut at Wimbledon.
The 23-year-old, who is flying under the radar with less than 5,000 followers on Instagram, is into round four after wins over Miriam Bulgaru, Gabriela Knutson, Alexandra Eala, Qinwen Zheng, Yuliia Starodubtseva and Lin Zhu.
Sun was born in Te Anau, an incredibly small town on New Zealand’s South Island, with a dream of making it as a star in tennis.
‘It’s a very small town (with) practically more sheep and deer than people!’ Sun explained this week.
The trilingual No 123-seed, who has guaranteed herself £226,000 in prize money whatever happens now (her career prize money to date was £245,000), is hoping to upset the favourite Raducanu.
Emma Raducanu knows all too well the potential of qualifiers having the tournament of their lives.
Raducanu famously became the first qualifier to win a grand slam title in New York in 2021, and she will be very wary of Sun’s potential to cause another shock.

Wimbledon gives a warm welcome as Raducanu steps out on Centre Court
The Wimbledon crowd has given the British hope a warm welcome as she steps out on Centre Court.
The court is still filling up as fans start to take their seats.
How will the wrist cope with today’s match?
Fans have been keeping an eye on Raducanu’s right wrist after she was forced to unexpectedly drop out of her mixed doubles match with Andy Murray yesterday due to ‘stiffness’.
It was due to be Murray’s final match at Wimbledon after he had to withdraw from the gentlemen’s singles due to injury and lost with his brother Jamie in the men’s doubles on Thursday.
Judy Murray described the news as ‘astonishing’ in a post on social media following Raducanu’s decision, with some fans labelling the decision ‘selfish’.
Despite her sore wrist, Raducanu was on Wimbledon’s practice courts on Saturday afternoon and was pictured again today warming up.
Some fans have taken to social media to mock Raducanu, with some claiming her wrist has ‘magically healed’.
But how will the injury cope over the course of the match?
Good afternoon!
Hello and welcome to Centre Court, where we are poised and ready for the British hope Emma Raducanu to step onto the hallowed turf in just a few minutes time for her last-16 match in the women’s singles event against Zealand qualifier Lulu Sun.
