A shopworker fought off a knife-wielding attacker with a mop during a rampage that left a passer-by with serious injuries.
CCTV shows the moment Mareez Bachu entered the store in Weymouth town centre armed with a blade which was hidden in a pizza box.
He was seen brandishing the knife towards a shop worker, who managed to protect himself with a mop handle and a wet floor sign.
Moments later, CCTV shows three young people entering the store, unaware of what is happening inside.
Bachu then turns on them, lunges at them and chases them out of the shop while pointing the knife at them.
Another man, who was walking home from a long shift at work, was then confronted by Bachu, who chased him along the street.
The attacker was seen catching up with the victim and plunging a knife into his abdomen, stabbing him twice before he pushed Bachu away as other members of the public came to help him.

Police were called and arrived on the scene, and Bachu, who was still slashing out towards officers, was sprayed with incapacitant spray before eventually dropping the knife.
He was taken into custody and later charged with attempted murder and remanded at Langdon Hospital – a psychiatric hospital which provides secure mental health services.
Meanwhile, following the attack, the victim was rushed to hospital with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries, including a collapsed lung and perforated diaphragm.
He underwent surgery before spending a significant time in recovery.
Bachu from Ebrington Street, Plymouth, previously pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding, possession of a bladed article in a public place, assaulting a police officer, and affray.

During the trial in February, he was found not guilty of attempted murder and wounding with intent during the incident on Belgrave Road, on Mutley Plain, on 8 April 2022.
He has subsequently been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, and given the order under Section 37 of the Mental Health Act by a judge at Truro Crown Court on Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who was aged 20 at the time of the incident, was charged in 2022 with attempting to murder a man who was stabbed on Belgrave Road in the early hours of April 8 2022.
On sentencing, Judge Simon Carr noted that there was no dispute that Bachu was the person who had carried out the attack but that the level of Bachu’s delusion and paranoia was so great that he was too ill to have formed the intent to have carried out the offences.
