Christmas party season was in full swing across Britain last night as ‘Festive Friday’ went out with a bang.
Thousands of boozed-up Brits took to the streets of London, Leeds and Newcastle to enjoy a very merry night of festive carnage as countless office parties got underway.
As wine, beer and spirts flowed in crowded pubs, punters, many in fancy dress, danced and drank the night away with colleagues – with a large proportion sure to wake up with a sore head this morning.
Some appeared to have had one too many tipples as they were seen being carried home, having rows in the street or being led away by police officers or paramedics.
Network Rail expected last night to be ‘the most popular night of the festive season’ and warned people ‘to take extra care in stations on your way home’ as it shared a hilarious video of some drunk party-goers struggling to use an escalator.
