Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark have shared a rare snap of their blended family in celebration of Count Felix’s 22nd birthday.
The Royal Family was snapped in their favourite holiday home for the summer break, Château de Cayx in France.
They are currently living in Washington D.C. with their children Count Henrik, 15, and Countess Athena, 12.
The sweet image showed Henrik and Athena with their half-brothers Count Nikolai, 24, and the birthday boy, Count Felix.
They captioned the sweet snap: ‘His Excellency Count Felix has a birthday and is turning 22 today. The Count celebrates his birthday at Château de Cayx in France with his family.’

Nikolai and Felix’s mother is Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, who was previously married to Prince Joachim.
The pair separated in 2005 and the Prince married Marie three years later, in 2008.
Count Felix also shares a birthday with another British royal, Prince George, who is second in line to the throne and turned 11 today.
The four youngsters were dressed in smart-casual clothing as they posed in front of the stunning countryside in their garden.
Countess Athena donned a simple black cami-top along with a pair of smart navy trousers and white trainers.
Count Henrik donned a simple white shirt, grey skinny jeans and blue trainers and he held the family dog, a Bichon Frise named Cerise, under his arm.
Count Nikolai opted for an olive-green shirt which he tucked into a pair of white trousers and paired with some simple brown shoes.
Count Felix donned an off-white shirt which he tucked into a pair of brown chinos and paired the simple ensemble with some coffee-coloured loafers.
The stunning backdrop showed the vibrant green rolling hills of their family estate, along with vineyards and large leafy trees.

Technically, Prince Joachim’s children are no longer princes and princesses after Queen Margrethe made the shock decision to strip them of their titles in 2022.
The controversial decision sent shockwaves through the heart of the Danish royal family with Prince Joachim claiming his children had been ‘hurt’ by the decision.
Following weeks of apparent bad blood between Queen Margrethe and her second son, the pair smoothed things over in crisis talks at the Palace and relations have been smooth sailing ever since.
As Count Felix celebrates his 22nd birthday and comes into his own, his girlfriend has been speaking about the horrific abuse she has endured since dating the royal.
Mie Sofia Elers, 23, a glamorous Chilean-Danish actress, first went public with Felix back in February, but says she’s been facing online abuse for ‘over a year’.
Prior to finding love, he was known as Denmark’s ‘most eligible’ bachelor, as his elder brother Count Nikolai is dating Benedikte Thoustrup.
Mie Sofia has now told Danish paper BT that she has been facing ‘ugly’ and persistent abuse online, and has even filed a police report.

She told the news outlet: ‘About a year ago, I started receiving hate messages on my social media accounts. I chose to ignore it until it escalated and these profiles started contacting my friends, family, and followers on social media.
‘Hate can be ignored to a certain extent, but harassment, photo manipulation, and spreading malicious lies are much more harmful.’
The abuse has continued despite Sofia setting her social media profiles to private – and now her friends and family are also being targeted.
She added that fake profiles pretending to be her have used AI or Photoshop to manipulate her photos, such as showing her with men other than Felix, smoking and editing devil horns onto her head.

Nikolai and Felix’s mother is Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, (pictured with her sons in 2017) who was previously married to Prince Joachim
Yesterday, fashion model Nikolai posted a series of black and white images taken at Chateau de Cayx, a home which has been in the family since 1974.
The three pictures, posted on Instagram , show three generations of royals enjoying the same photo opportunity – just ‘years apart’, as the caption points out.
In the first image the shutters have been pulled back and Nikolai is leaning out of the window with a slight smile on his face.
The composition is the same in the second image, only Nikolai has been replaced by his father Prince Joachim, brother of King Frederik X.
The third image is also unchanged apart from one crucial element – the man leaning out of the window is now Prince Henrik, the father of Prince Joachim and the grandfather of Count Nikolai.
The full caption provided by Nikolai reads: ‘Three generations, same place, years apart’.

In 2022, Queen Margrethe (pictured centre) removed the royal titles of Joachim’s four children in a move that shocked the public
At the time she claimed she wanted her grandchildren to ‘shape their own lives’. However, it reportedly upset the family and caused royal rifts.
Last year, Prince Joachim publicly spoke out against his mother’s decision in the days that followed – claiming that his children born from Joachim’s first marriage to Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg – and Henrik and Athena had been ‘harmed’ in the process.
Months later, the sixth-in-line to the throne admitted that ‘communication was missing’ within the Royal Family in the lead-up to the shock announcement.
Meanwhile, his ex-wife Alexandra said that her sons, Nikolai and Felix, had been left feeling ‘ostracised’ from the institution and the decision had come like a ‘bolt out of the blue’.
The Royal Household released a further statement, saying: ‘As the Queen stated yesterday, the decision has been a long time coming.
‘We understand that there are many emotions at stake at the moment, but we hope that the Queen’s wish to future-proof the Royal Household will be respected.’
