A needy cat who clocked his owner arriving home left her stunned after he ran up to the car and promptly jumped in for a ride.

In a hilarious clip, Zazu the cat is seen bounding down a suburban street, believed to be in Hampshire, clearly ecstatic at being reunited after a short time apart.

‘As if he can’t actually even wait for me to get on the driveway today,’ Zazu’s owner Jess, who shared the video on her TikTok account, is heard saying, adding: ‘This cat takes the p***.’

When Zazu reaches the car, the owner opens the door and the feline hops in for the rest of the drive home.

The adorable video has left people on social media in hysterics, with many sharing stories of their own equally needy cats.

During the video, Jess says to Zazu: ‘I’ve just come up here to turn round, are you having a laugh mate?’

Zazu then makes his way to the car and Jess opens the door asking: ‘You getting in then are ya?’

The white and ginger fluffy feline then lets out another almighty wail while seemingly deciding whether or not to jump in.

‘You getting in or not?’ Jess asks him again, before he finally decides to hop into the vehicle.

Zazu climbs over Jess before jumping into the passenger seat and exploring the legroom area of the car.

‘Make yourself comfortable Zazu,’ Jess says of her confident cat. ‘Absolute p*** taker.’

Jess regularly shares videos of Zazu on her TikTok modern_motherhood, as well as clips of her daughter Nylah.

And people were quick to react to this recent clip of Zazu.
