- Prince William recently got fans hot under the collar during his royal trip to Rio
- READ MORE: Prince William’s ‘Windsor balding gene’ could have started with Queen Victoria’s father and Harry hasn’t escaped it either
When Prince William lost his mop of golden blonde locks, many called it tragedy.
But now it appears, the future King, who cemented heartthrob status with an untamed mop in his twenties, is very much back in the mix for princely pin-ups.
In fact, follicly-challenged William set tongues wagging – and salivating – this weekend – when he joined a game of volleyball at a school in Rio. Dashing and diving for the ball, it became clear William is officially a hot hairless heir.
But he’s not the only bald man leaving suitors swooning in mid-life.
So, put down the serum, specialist shampoo and the ill-fitting toupee and cancel your trip to Turkey because bald sex symbols are back – and better than ever.
Here’s our run down of our top ten hot bald men…

Prince William, 43, left fans hot under their collar after playing beach volleyball in Rio de Janeiro on Monday
1. Prince William
Prince William, now 43, started balding in his early 20s, with his royal hairline notably receding at his royal wedding to Kate in 2011.
The idea that baldness comes solely from your mother, father, or your mother’s father is a myth.
Will’s mother couldn’t have had a more notable, 80s haircut that even spanned its own name: The Princess Pixie.
His father, however, seems as though he’s been balding since the royal monarchy began in 1066.
If not entirely embracing the razor, but at least eschewing the dreaded comb-over, Will now rocks the royal baldy look, meaning surely slapheads will be on trend for 2026.

2. Jason Statham
Jason Statham, 58, is one of the more well-known bald head sex symbols, having starred in the Transporter and Fast & Furious franchises (pictured 2023)
Jason Statham is so famous for his bald head, it’s weird when you see him with hair, like when he’s desperately clinging on by the follicles in 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels or 2000’s Snatch.
By 2002’s The Transporter, he’s embraced the full slaphead, which set a precedent for his cinematic future.
I don’t know what would be more surprising: Statham turning up in 2010’s The Expendables with a Turkey hair transplant, or gate-crashing 2016’s Fast & Furious 6 in a toupee.
The 58-year-old chrome dome is the most recognisable and hence the sexiest version of Statham there is.

3. David Flint Wood
David Flint Wood, 64, is an example of a ‘beardy baldy’, where the lack of hair on the head is compensated a hairy chin (pictured November 2023)
David Flint Wood is a British former advertising executive, hotelier and designer, best known for his life on Harbour Island in the Bahamas with his wife, entrepreneur and designer, India Hicks and their five children. All of which he’s managed to achieve in spite of having a giant slaphead.
By the age of 30, 25 per cent of men have some degree of hair loss, according to an article written by Dr Edna Skopljak M.D for hair product company Scandinavian Biolabs.
And by 60, it was reported that 66 per cent of men are bald, meaning Flint Wood – at 64 – isn’t doing too badly.
He also gives us our first example of a ‘beardy baldy’ where lack of hair on the head is compensated by excess hair on the chin.

4. Enzo Maresca
Enzo Maresca, the 45-year-old manager of Chelsea football club, is also considered one of the hottest bald men (pictured November 2025)
Enzo Maresca served as assistant manager at Man City in 2022 under Pep Guardiola, before taking up the role of head coach at Chelsea in 2024, where he now not only outshines his former colleague on the pitch, but also in the beardy/baldy department.
Although the two managers do look very similar (skin head, short, greying beard), Maresca just looks more at ease at having nothing up top at 45, than Guardiola does at 54, and coupled with his Beckham-esque grin, is a prime example of a sexy slaphead.

5. Stanley Tucci
Steamy chef and actor Stanley Tucci, 64, is known for his hairless appearance – and completely rocks it ( pictured 2020)
When 64-year-old actor, chef, and professional glasses-wearer Stanley Tucci posted a picture of himself in December 2024 on X as a 22-year-old with a luxurious mane of hair, the Internet couldn’t believe its luck.
‘So handsome, Mr Tucci!’ said one reply.
‘Thank you for this very important reminder that you have always been insanely hot,’ posted another. What no one pointed out was that his dodgy 20-year-old’s tashe made him look like he was off to a fancy dress party as Freddie Mercury.
Hairy Tucci, no thanks. Baldy Tucci, yes please.

6. Mark Strong
Mark Strong, 62, has completely embraced his natural bald look (pictured last month in New York City)
Mark Strong’s career has gone in the opposite direction from his hairline. In one of his first TV roles in a 1990 episode of The Bill, Strong sported a fine short-back-and-sides; a feat he repeats on Prime Suspect in 1996.
By 1997, the razor had taken no prisoners when he played Colin Firth’s baldy best mate in Fever Pitch.
Since then, 62-year-old Strong has rocked his natural baldy look, with some wiggy exceptions, such as the unbelievable barnet he sports in Guy Ritchie’s 2005 Revolver, or the historically accurate comb-over he dons in 2014’s The Imitation Game.

7. Jake Wood
53-year-old EastEnders star Jake Wood, known for playing Max Branning on the soap opera, has managed to pull off the bald look
Jake Wood has appeared in everything from Only Fools and Horses to One Foot in the Grave, A Touch of Frost, The Bill, Doc Martin and Red Dwarf.
As time has marched on, so has his lack of hair. It’s not an easy look to pull off – bald and ginger. But it’s a look he’s perfected, playing Max Branning in EastEnders since 2006.
Thankfully, his break from Albert Square from 2001-2025 wasn’t to visit The Belgravia Hair Loss Centre. Now, the 53-year-old actor is back on the Square, balder and sexier than ever.

8. Ed Harris
Ed Harris, 74, is pictured arriving for a screening of Long Day’s Journey into Night, during the Glasgow Film Festival in February 2025
Despite Harris, 74, being one of the greatest actors of our time, having starred in everything from Apollo 13 to The Truman Show and Top Gun Maverick, the Hollywood legend unfortunately suffers from ‘bald man’s blindness’.
This is where, regardless of the fact that he’s clearly bald as an eagle up top, he still continues to grow and maintain the sides, like he’s a baldy Fonzie from Happy Days.
In his latest film, 2025’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night, he seems to have slipped further into denial, playing the entire film in a totally unconvincing wig.

9. Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zidane, 53, is widely regarded as one of the most successful football coaches in the world (pictured last month)
French midfielder Zinedine Zidane, 53, was widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, renowned for his elegance, vision, passing, and ball control, netting him 108 caps for France, and the FIFA World Player of the Year 1998, 2000 and 2003.
Since his move into management, most notably for Real Madrid, he’s now also widely regarded as one of the most successful coaches in the world. And he’s managed to do all this whilst scoring nil points in the hair department.

10. Alan Shearer
Football legend Alan Shearer, 55, has gone 100 per cent bald and grown some stubble (pictured in November last year)
People remember Shearer’s every move during Euro 96 after he scored five goals across tournaments against Switzerland, Scotland, the Netherlands and Germany in the semi-final.
But it’s a lot harder to remember when he last had hair. The 55-year-old, thinning Newcastle striker turned BBC sports pundit, has always been the loveliest man, if not always the sharpest wit, on the team.
Now that he’s gone 100 per cent smooth up top and grown some stubble, he’s finally got what is known in the trade as ‘bald man’s edge’.
