‘This gentleman is back to his 30-year-old self again!’ Farina gushed on Instagram.

The makeover received a huge reception on social media, with one admirer commenting, ‘I’ve never seen a side-by-side comparison that was so mind blowing that I questioned whether it was real or AI.’

They added, ‘This case is stunning. That man had 40 years shaved off his face.’

Another wrote, ‘This does not look like the same person. More like father and son!’

However, a number of social media sleuths suspected that the image may be the result of Photoshop and filters.

‘If you think this is real, you need to do better thinking,’ wrote one. ‘Look at all the blurred lines around the ears/jaw and chin/neck. This is a lot of Photoshop.’

‘How’d his eyebrows get lower if he had a facelift,’ questioned another.

One curious netizen even went as far as running the photos through an app to see if they’d been edited.

‘Io I put this photo through that one Chinese app that will detect augmented pixilation from Photoshop and highlights it with green,’ he wrote, alongside a screenshot of the plastic surgery pictures covered in green highlighter – indicating that they’d been edited.

When contacted for comment, Melinda Farina at The Beauty Brokers insisted that the image hadn’t been Photoshopped.

‘This photo is not Photoshopped – we simply use the Layout app to place photos side by side. They are then sized to fit the [Instagram] post window,’ she explained.

‘It’s a wonderful case done by a terrific Long Island surgeon,’ she added.
