Since it burst onto the TikTok landscape, the ‘suspect challenge’ has become one of social media’s most unlikely sensations.
The challenge shows a couple pretending to give police-style descriptions of each other while they are running, typically with plenty of digs and playful insults.
While it’s unclear where the online trend started, a string of celebrity and Tik Tok influencers have shared their takes on the amusing challenge.
In a never-ending stream of videos on Instagram and TikTok, they’ve been to throw amusing insults at their significant others.
One of the most popular renditions has amassed over 18 million views, and shows a couple in utter hysterics as they hurl insults at one another.
When describing her partner, the woman says, ‘suspect has hair styled like a 14-year-old boy,’ before the roles are switched, with the man quipping: ‘Suspect looks like she’s running for the first time in her entire life.’

Couples’ takes on the trend have certainly been putting their relationship to the test, though one such star who appeared to miss the point was Gwyneth Paltrow.
Instead of showing Gwyneth running along while she recites the suspect traits, the actress’ take left many fans scratching their heads.
Instead, the clip, which was posted to her lifestyle brand Goop’s TikTok, showed Gwyneth standing still and receiving the ‘suspect traits,’ including: ‘Suspect has dated all the Brads in Hollywood; Suspect loved being a nepobaby so much she created two of her own.’
Instead of running along while the traits are described, Gwyneth casually reacts to them by toasting her cocktail glass.

However the pair haven’t been seen together since they put on a cosy display at the Blink Twice screening together in the same month.
Meanwhile Katherine also took a swipe at Emily’s skimpy fashion choices as she added: ‘Suspect claims to fight the patriarchy but dresses for the patriarchy and only dates toxic men’.

The Hills star – who split from ex Mark Estes, 24, in October – filmed with her hairstylist pal Justin Anderson, who at one point shared the name of a famous actor the star hooked up with.
‘Suspect’s hottest hookup, that she never told anybody about, was Jason Statham,’ Justin said, while a bashful Kristin replied, ‘Omg, Justin!’
It’s unclear when hookup happened, though Kristin and Jason, 57, were briefly linked together in 2009.
