TikTok menace ‘Mizzy’ has been found guilty of theft after he stole a woman’s iPhone before getting knocked off his electric-bike by a police officer while trying to escape.
Bacari O’Garro, 19, cycled up to Ruby Hewitt and snatched the woman’s black iPhone 13 Pro Max on June 15, 2022.
Ms Hewitt said the ordeal left her feeling ‘stressed, anxious and scared for [her] safety’ when the £1,000 phone was taken off her.
Police officers noticed O’Garro on a green e-line bike with a black and white t-shirt wrapped around his head and originally went over to check if he was alright.
But O’Garro sped off into a cul-de-sac and was seen throwing a ‘reflective object’ into bushes before he tried to race past a waiting officer.

PC James O’Neil told Highbury Magistrates’ Court he used his baton to knock O’Garro off balance when he cycled towards him in Islington, north London.
PC O’Neil said: ‘He threw what at the time I believed was a knife because it was a reflective object. I had at that point drawn my baton as he was cycling towards me at speed and I used my baton to knock him off balance.
‘At that point he came off the bike and continued to make off on foot. He turned left on Highbury New Park and made off into an estate.’
Prosecutors caught up with him and proved O’Garro stole the mobile when the right palm and finger impressions on the phone case matched the DNA database police have on the prankster.
Magistrate Fros Kyriacou and her colleagues convicted O’Garro of one count of theft.
O’Garro claimed at trial that a friend passed him a phone and he did not know it was stolen.
He is now studying for a level three diploma in creative media and working as a journalist for Video Production News.

He appeared in the dock, having posed for pictures outside the court, wearing a black suit and white shirt.
Ms Hewitt recognised that it was her phone when officers returned it to her because she saw her screensaver of her blonde cockapoo.
Edward Kalber, prosecuting, said: ‘Ruby Hewitt was walking outside Highbury Grove School. A person came up next to her by her right handside. This person snatches the phone away from her.
‘If Mr O’Garro was not stopped on that day the defendant would have made off with the phone and it would not have been returned to the complainant.’
Describing O’Garro, Mr Kalber added: ‘A black male in a full blue tracksuit with a black and white scarf wrapped around his head.’
O’Garro is a notorious social media influencer who became infamous for a series of stunts which saw him enter people’s houses at random and film himself.
He used X, formerly called Twitter, and Snapchat to promote himself for his outrageous behaviour- which landed him in the courts.
His videos became so problematic judges banned him from uploading his antics onto any platforms last year- but he flouted these orders within hours.
In an interview with Piers Morgan he mocked the British justice system and in one video labelled it a ‘joke’.
Theft carries a maximum six month prison sentence or an unlimited fine. O’Garro, from Hackney, east London will be sentenced on a later date.
