After two weeks of spectacular tennis, Wimbledon came to an end today with reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz defeating Novak Djokovic in the men’s final. 

Looking stunning in a deep purple Safiyaa dress, the Princess of Wales delighted players and fans alike as she took her seat in the Royal Box.

Sat between her sister Pippa Matthews and daughter Princess Charlotte, Catherine appeared delighted to be at Wimbledon in what is just her second public appearance since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. 

Catherine, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, was joined in the Royal Box by A-listers from the UK and across the pond, as well as sports stars and other members of the British royal family. 

Here FEMAIL reveals the high-profile guests enjoying the men’s final from the best seats in the house on the final day of Wimbledon 2024.

1. Pippa Matthews

The sisters are famously close, and Pippa played a prominent role in Catherine’s wedding to Prince William in 2011.

The following year, Pippa published the party-planning bible Celebrate.

She married financier and former racing driver James Mathews in 2017 and the couple share three children.

Sat next to her niece, nine-year-old Princess Charlotte, Pippa is wearing a cap-sleeve floral dress in white and pink.

Stefan, 58, is a former Swedish tennis player who won six Grand Slam singles titles and three mens doubles titles before retiring from the sport in 1996.

He was at the Wimbledon Gentlemen’s Singles Champion in 1988 and 1990.

Stefan coached Roger Federer, a player who holds a whopping 20 Grand Slam titles and 103 career ATP titles.

The pair teamed up back in 2013, with Roger inviting Stefan to work with him for a few days in Dubai.

Roger is also friendly with the Princess of Wales, as Kate watched as he was honoured in a special ceremony at the club last year.

Both Stefan and his wife, Annette sat directly behind Pippa Middleton, Princess Charlotte and the Princess of Wales.

The pair got married in 1992 and have two children, Emilie and Christopher.

Sat in between her mother Catherine and aunt Pippa Matthews, Princess Charlotte is every inch the English rose in a short-sleeved navy dress with a polka dot design.

Charlotte is sister of Prince George, 10, and Princess Louis, 6, and all three of the Wales children attend Lambrook School in Berkshire.

Their father, Prince William, is not at Wimbledon today but rather in Berlin ahead of the Euro 2024 final that’ll see England play Spain.

The Princess of Wales was greeted with a standing ovation when she appeared in the Royal Box today.

Catherine, 42, who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, will present the winner of the men’s final with his trophy later today.

This is just her second public appearance since she announced that she was being treated for cancer earlier this year.

Seated in the Royal Box alongside daughter Princess Charlotte, 9, Catherine chose a stunning Safiyya dress in deep purple for the occasion.

Lindsey is the wife of rugby legend Rob Burrow who died last month after battling motor neurone disease (MND) since 2019.

The couple got together when they were just 15 years old and shared what Lindsey has described as a ‘perfect’ life with a ‘great marriage, supportive families, and three beautiful children’.

Lindsey stepped in as his unpaid carer while simultaneously looking after their three children and continuing to work for the NHS as a physiotherapist.

Last year, Lindsey took part in the first-ever Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon.

The couple got together when they were just 15 years old and have three children together – Macy, Maya and their son, Jackson.

In a statement, Mrs Burrow said everyone was ‘deeply saddened by the loss of our devoted husband and father’.

Although we knew this day would arrive, I am somehow still feeling at a loss for words that our loving, kind and caring husband and father has departed.

‘However, we take comfort from how much people’s love and continued support meant to Rob through his most vulnerable times.’

Mark Newton is Lindsey’s brother, who was also in attendance today. He ran the Rob Burrow Marathon with his sister in May.

The 62-year-old is thought to be worth around $500m and he has three children, Suri, Isabella and Connor.

He took a break from the set of his new Mission: Impossible film to attend the prestigious tournament in the south-west London venue.

Tom sported a maroon blazer and Aviator sunglasses while chatting to a friend after taking to his seat in the Royal Box.

He was joined by friend and colleague American filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie, 55, who is best known for working on The Usual Suspects, Mission Impossible Fallout and Top Gun Maverick.

She has won and been nominated for several prestigious awards for her work, including Academy Awards and BAFTAS.

She has three children, Hazel and Phinnaeus, who are twins, and Henry, who are all in their late teenage years.

She married Daniel Moder in 2002 after divorcing her first husband Lyle Lovett in 1995.

He is an American cinematographer who has worked on such films as Secret in Their Eyes, The Mexican, and Fireflies in the Garden.

A keen spectator, Khan has been spotted at Wimbledon’s Royal Box on numerous times throughout the years.

53-year-old Sadiq was a member of parliament for Tooting before he became London’s Mayor in 2016.

Stephanie, who grew up in Birmingham and attended Queen Mary University of London, serves as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the State in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

18. Tom Allen

Tom Allen is a comedian and the host of The Apprentice: You’re Fired and regularly appears on other shows such as Cooking with the Stars, Bake Off: An Extra Slice and Alan Carr’s There’s Something About Movies.

The 41-year-old is also a radio star and can be heard on BBC Radio 4 in his own series Tom Allen Is Actually Not Very Nice.

He is also an author and penned a Sunday Times bestseller memoir, No Shame and then released another called Too Much.

Tom is currently in a relationship with Alfie Garston and the couple live together in Bromley.

Andre, 54, has won eight major championships during his career and is an Olympic gold medallist.

Having won a career Grand Slam, an Olympic gold medal and the year-end championships, he is the only man to win a career Super Slam.

Andre was the first tennis player to win all four singles majors – the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open – on three different surfaces (hard, clay and grass).

During the 1990s, Andre’s great rival was another American – Pete Sampras.

Rod is widely regarded as one of the all-time greats, having won 11 Grand Slams, including four Wimbledon men’s singles titles.

He even completed the Grand Slam (winning all four Grand Slams) twice and was ranked as world number one from 1965 to 1969.

He is a frequent attendee at Wimbledon, watching today’s tennis after himself winning 11 grand slams over the course of his career.

The Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and the Laver Cup are both named after him.

Rod and his late wife Mary share one son, Rick.
