A woman has been charged after she allegedly pursued her estranged husband’s new girlfriend before crashing her car in a wild late-night chase.

Police allege a woman, 37,  driving a black Mercedes SUV was followed by another female, 31, in a black sedan in Sydney’s south-west on Monday night.

The Mercedes SUV driver pulled over in Campsie to check a text message.

Her boyfriend’s ex-wife, Rachel Liu, then allegedly approached the vehicle, attempted to get in and then struck the window.

The girlfriend drove off and was allegedly followed by Liu for 4km and rear-ended the Mercedes multiple times on Hamilton Avenue in Earlwood.

CCTV showed Liu’s sedan allegedly tailing the Mercedes before she turned and lost control of the vehicle.

The Mercedes driver was uninjured and attended Kogarah Police Station a short time later to report the alleged incident.

Locals claimed Liu’s estranged husband later attended the scene.
